It was a blast! I never went to Gstaad depite beeing only 100 km away, but I will go back for sure! it's very nice, and even if it's a place for milionaires and famous ppl, it is still a very cool and tiny mountain village!

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/662/gstaad012qw.th.jpg (http://img160.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img160&image=gstaad012qw.jpg) http://img160.exs.cx/img160/8528/gstaad028va.th.jpg (http://img160.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img160&image=gstaad028va.jpg) http://img160.exs.cx/img160/4672/gstaad035cd.th.jpg (http://img160.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img160&image=gstaad035cd.jpg)

Do you know for what prices the cars sold for TT?
I would be interested to know the cost of the 288GTO, F40, 550 Barchetta and the F1 cars? :)

I would have thought the 250 SWB would be the moxt expensive car in that lot but it may not have sold ....

Thanks for the pics

TT
12-19-2004, 02:17 PM
The SWB was a conversion / replica, not an original one, that's why...

it actually sold for "only" 200'000 CHF, that's some 170'000 USD

Actually that would be a good exotic "beater" considering that the real thing costs $1.5 MM.

Some of these conversions are so real that they can fool experts - E.g. Faure GTO. Instead of spending $6MM on the real thing spend $200K on a realistic fake and drive it pedal to the metal :)

TT, did those 328's, 512BB's and the Daytona's found a buyer? If they were sold, how much did the new lucky owners have to pay? Just to know how many years I have to save up my money to buy one of those beauties :D ;)

The 308GTS didn't sell, the estimated price was around 40'000 CHF or 26'000 €
the red 512BBi (early 1974 model) sold for 66'000 CHF (43'000 €)
the black one, a 1984 model didn't sell and it was estimated at 100'000 CHF (65'000 €)
the 328GTB went for 50'000 CHF (32'500 €)
the 328GTS didn't sel and was estimated around 50'000 CHF (32'000 €)
the Daytonas... the red one went for 148'000 CHF (96'000 €), the yellow one for 205'000 CHF (133'000 €)
The Daytona Spider BTW, didn't sell. It was estimated at around 700'000 CHF or 455'000 € and the Competizione one hit 310'000 CHF (200'000 €)

Thanks. I have a lot of saving to do if I want to own one of those ;)
Only the 308's and 328's are within reasonable boundaries. Why oh why are all the extremely hot cars so expensive... :D

TT
12-19-2004, 03:26 PM
Also 400i and 412 are pretty cheap.. around 35'000 CHF :)

Wow 420,000AU for a 288 GTO....thats a bargain

yeah I thought the same thing, thats roughly what a new 360 Modena F1 costs currently over here. However not that many were made and I've yet to here of a GTO in Australia. :(

Awesome! There are some fu***ng incredible and nice Ferraris! That 365GTB/4 Daytona Competizione is the one for me (I don't care if it's a conversion or the real one!). Thanks for sharing the pics TT, they're perfect! BTW, I can't believe you've never been to Gstaad before! I've gone there one time... and I saw a couple of Bentleys and a Testarossa... and it was five or six years ago! You have to go more often... and take more pics!!!

Well probably to spot good cars you have to go in the summer :D but of course I prefer to go to the mountain during winter (powersteer ;)).. today I had to go again to buy that damn pullover I saw :D and the only nice car there was an E55 AMG (already seen Saturday)... there was also a Saab wich went straight in a corner and down a hill into somebody's backyard!

Definitely I will go there this summer to spot some exotics :D

Wow, just think about what a treasure they're keeping on such a small surface. If that building burns down I'll probably cry

Seriously, some very nice pics and some Ferrari's that I never heard of before, like the Ferrari 500 Superfast. You know what would be cool, that Top Gear would make one complete show about Ferrari. The well known models but also the lesser famous ones.

Nice pics TT!!

Oh this is just so not fair.
You have completely ruined my december now. I will go sulk in the corner.
:P

Oh well that tantrum didn't last too long as I have some other approachable Ferraris to keep me happy. But I still wish I was there. Really, really really.
And I like Superfasts too. My favourite as always will have to be the 275 though.

Lucky you.
