View Full Version : Killed my turbo
I think I blew my turbo today. I am getting no boost and the car isn't running good at all. Decided to tow it home. I was doing some donuts with some other guys and it made a loud air rushing noise and wouldn't even run. Then after I got a truck and went back to tow it, it started back up and I was able to drive it. Once it got warm smoke started coming out the back so we thought it was best to tow it home. I will take it in to the dealership on Mon. and will play stupid and hopefully can get whatever is wrong fixed under warranty. I think I am going to tell them my wife was driving and when she got home she said it wasn't driving right. Hopefully it will work. If anybody wants to donate to my new turbo fund that would be great. :D

that sux, how much for a new turbo?
Could most likely pick a used stock one up for a couple hundred but, if it is bad and I have to pay for a new one I don't plan on putting a stock one back in.

That sucks! If they won't pay for your turbo (I hope they will) will you put in a bigger one?
man that sucks,but these things happen to make way for better things,for example BIGGER TURBO :D
I think I got a place to host it. Let me know if it doesn't work. It isn't a lot of bandwith so if someone else could get it and then host it that would be great.

OUCH,that actually sounded pretty bad,i think u may have blown the turbo.
i know this aint to do with the turbo,but did u decide to remove the rear spoiler,it looks like u have removed it from that video
No it's still there. I found out that the spoiler is worked into my lease/ballon payment deal so it is a no go. I plan on selling it before the lease is up anyways but just in case.

anyway,have u tried startin the car since,is it still not givin any boost?
Not since ealier. I don't want to mess anything else up. A freind of mine is going to trade out some parts with me to make it less obvious. Such as intake and boost controller.
ah yes,good way to go,make it look not modded u mean?

Dang, how shitty... :( I really hope you'll manage to have the car fixed for "free".. if not, well, think about that accident as a good excuse to buy the bigger turbo ;)

that does suck. but yea, a bigger turbo would deffinitely be fun, pump that thing up to 400hp. lol
Found out that the #1 cyclinder has no compresion. Will find out in the morning if they are going to cover it under warranty.
They are going to fix it. They ordered a new short block today so I will be out of my car for a bit. Get to have a little fun in a loner though. :D
i hope the loner is a WRX STI,lol :wink:
