Officiell:0-200km/h less than 14 sec and 0-100km/h in 4.6 sec
Officiell time for M5 is 14.7 sek and we seen times low as 13.5 sec from different varmags. M6 will do below 13 sec, thats for sure.

Some short info:
- It will use the same 507 bhp V10 engine as the M5, including the same power button mode
- It will also use the same 7-speed SMG III gearbox as the M5
- 0-100 km/h (62.5 mph) in 4.6 seconds
- limited topspeed of 250 km/h (155 mph)
- EDC (Electronic Damper Control) with 3 settings (comfort, normal and sport) as standard.
- Adaptive Servotronic steering related to the EDC settings
- MDrive manager with head-up display to select pre-set settings of all above features (Power button, EDC, Servotronic, etc.)
- the use of lighter materials like for example thermoplastics for the front wings, carbon fibre for the roof, etc.
Take this:

so what exactly does this go up against? the CL55 AMG i guess because the CLK 55 AMG seems to be drasticly outpreformed by this. in any even it is definitly a nice vehicle with the new V10.
I was never a huge fan of the regular 6 series but how can you badmouth a 507hp N/A engine hehe. and i assume the convertable will follow? thanks for the pics guys. :D

I don't think CL55 is the right car for comparison tho, coz it's too big and a ted leaning more on the luxury side. I would say CLK55 is more appropiate tho it will not be a match. But hey, that's the point BMW trying to make isn't it?
Chaos in 1983!

The front seems a bit bland IMO...but that V10 sure is a mosnter...can't wait to see the first reviews...

What about the SL55? SL65? :? Only has 2 seats, but it's about the only thing i could come up with that can match in a straight line..

I think it's let down bu the wheels, they are somehow not quite aggressive enough. The M5 wheels would be a better match I think. Nice to see they went for some weight saving although this has got to weigh a hell of a lot still.

I personally like the wheels, it shows off the bad boy brakes, they are agressive and show the nature of the car but don't cry for attention.

I am with you on that one. The only thing I like about this car is the wheels but at the same time I think the M5 wheels are better.
Out of all the new wheels BMW, I like the ones on the 3 Series and 5 Series Sport Packages. (They kind of look like the M5 ones).

I agree about the wheels. My favourite are these of the M3 but seems like the M5 ones will fit best
Sir_GT

I'll say one thing though... if I were to choose, it would be in white, the same white that BMW-Williams uses in F1, and maybe a nice, clean, stripe kit... in blue. Same blue as in F1.
Definitely not in that hemoroids(sp?) red though. Very... unsporty... to say the least.
and I agree with the M5 wheels. Although this isn't bad, I think that the 6-series's design in particular plays well with "big" bold rims, and not slim ones.
Another question is the price. The 645i is already £50k++ ...how much will this be? Hopefully it would be "just" £60-65k, but it might hit 70k or maybe even 75k. That would be placing it in the same price league as the upcoming AMV8, which is far more desirable, and beyond that of a Carrera S, which sounds like it's main competitor.
Seems a bit pushy, even for a BMW.
