Ahh but you are wrong. I have not looked through this entire thread so excuse me if it has already been brought up. Technicaly the Renualt Escpace F1 is the fastest van in the world :lol: A stripped out Escpace with Huge wheels and slicks with a Formula 1 V10 kicking out 800bhp roughly. 0-60 around 2.8 seconds top speed 210 (due to crap aerodynamics of a bus)

This is obviosuly not road legal and only 1 in existance, and where you would normally find the kids youd actualy find the V10 lump in the back seats!

I cant imagine me buying a MPV even if i had a big family! :lol:

This is cool stuff to look at. Looks like my parents van needs a turbocharger. And i hope that brabus only built one of those vans, considering it looks like crap, and it's a VAN! The torque is neccessary but not the horsepower.

The VW has plates, so that one is road legal. They have even smoked a M3 on the autobahn with it! :mrgreen:

With my limited german knowledge I didn't find out for certain if it can be considered a production car. The price is given without the basis car, so I think not... Thus I think Brabus can say that they build the fastest production van in the world.

Edit: BTW the subject says "it's a Mercedes", but it's not. AMG is Mercedes, Brabus is Brabus! I know it's details, but as always I had to say it...

Yes, the basic, unmodded car is a Merc. But Mercedes has nothing to do with Brabus, they even don´t like each other. Merc would never allow AMG to create such a beast.

I don't want to be an ass either, and I know what you mean, but this is what I mean:

Mercedes don't make that van. They just make the body and chassis, and then the rest is made by Brabus. There is no Mercedes badge on a Brabus because Brabus are doing such a large part of the manufacturing that they are considered a car manufacturer. Mercedes is more like contractor, supplying the basis that Brabus build their cars on.

As for the headline in the first picture: Never trust a journalist if you don't know how competent this person is on the subject...
