Looks a little generic to me personally, though it's hard to say from the photo. It would b nice to see an Audi SUV for comparison, (and then possibly a crazy-souped up one w/ the RS6 engine that would be competition for the Cayenne turbo... wishful thinking.)

Looks like a even taller version of the all-road.

No it will be called the Q7 (some say Q6). You are showing pics of some Q5 impressions, but the spy pic above is one of the Audi Q7. The Q5 (based in the Audi A4) will be a competitor for the X3, but it's not sure this car will be launched, although one testmule has been spotted a while ago. If they are planning on producing this one, you won't see it before 2007 I guess.

The Q7 will be launched late 2005, as a competitor for the BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg, Range Rover, Mercedes M-Class, etc. Engines will be: a 3.2 V6, a 4.2 V8, a 3.0 V6 TDI, a 4.0 V8 TDI and maybe a 3.7 V8, a 5.0 V10, and 6.0 W12. The 5.0 V10 will be probably a sportier model, called the SQ7 (Audi registered all names form Q3 to Q8, and SQ3 to SQ8 a few months ago)

The Q7 will look quite a lot like the Pikes Peak concept car.
Some extra pics (don't get fooled by the strange logo or the fake rear lights):

The whole shape of this car is bit of BMW X5 copy, but anyway manufactures copy each other everyday, though its not bad!!!

Looks better than the Cayenne, but that's not saying much hehe.... I actually think it's going to be a reasonably attractive vehicle...only problem is that it's still an SUV.

Well those tail lights look like crap. I can't comment on the rest of it yet. The VW look for SUV's will always look better than the Audi look for SUV's just because the audi look doesn't fit any kind of truck. At least the new audi look.

the end has come, I'm probably going to get corrected on this buuuut, I believe that audi was the last major manufacturer selling their cars in the US that didnt have an SUV in its car line. Please Audi dont make it stand against the trendiness and don't make another superluxurysport SUV

I dont fancy too much with the Q line“s shape im afraid considering the drawing shown earlier, any direct rival such as the X5, the ML, the XC90, the Lexus looks much better IMO....anyway....its too early IMO to get any conclusion till Audi launches officialy it models presentation

Thanks for the new pics - got a much better idea of it now. I'd have to say the styling is a bit plain on it (and some toureg lines can definitely be seen in it - not a good thing imo). I'd rather have it more unique in styling, and less generic. On a side note, I think the Pikes Peak concept was siiick - that would truly be an incredible SUV.
