I read in an old thread somewhere that Jabba uses Adobe Premiere for video compression and editing and all that good stuff...and I'm assuming this is the best program to use for this kind of thing other than Final Cut Pro..which requires a Mac. I just downloaded the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 tryout from Adobe's website but, never would I be able to spend that much on software..(I'm using Pinnacle right now) but I'm behind a firewall and can't use kazaa or any file sharing programs. Basically I'm wondering if this software is easily pirated, if you can find it on the internet, and just your thoughts on it if you have used it. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff..

Thanks!

If you download the again package from suprnova.org, but since you're behind a firewall(I presume you can't open ports for bt) then try http://astalavista.box.sk to see if you can find a crack for the trial...

it depends what you want to do to a vid, but I generally use virtualdub as it can do most things..

I had this same problem connecting to kazaa... university blocks it so I tunneled it!

go to http-tunnel.com try it out and see if you like it. The bad part is u have to pay 4$ a month I think but that is cheep if you use Kazaa or any other p2p program a lot. Just tunnel kazaa and u will b able to connect.

I use pinnacle liquid edition when I try to put something together, i have tried different software for this, but pinnacle seems to be the easiest for me.....

Alot of times things dont seem logical in these programs but in pinnacle it seems logical.....it got alot of functions and seems to be good at what its meant for doing....

I have learned one thing its better to use something for a period of time and learn it properly than to try out alot of different programs to try and find something better, and its no point in using a monster of a prog for light editing.....

Choose your weapon from what you are hunting, the cannon are not always the best solution.......

Very wise words...and indeed sometimes you dont need to use a sledge hammer to crack a nut.

Hey DM...

I've got a working version of Premiere Pro v7 (with keygen) if you want it. I also have a bunch of other appz, too (including Final Cut Pro - and I don't even own a Mac! ) If you really want Premiere Pro, lemme know and I'll fire up my FTP for ya. It'd only be for a short time though, 'cause it'd be on my personal bandwidth and the version I have is quite large (over 600MB, if memory serves). Lemme know....

I've been collecting 5th Gear episodes on my Dish PVR, and need to rip and encode about 15-20 of 'em soon myself. Just haven't had the time or energy to do it lately.

Jabba? Any advice on what codec and bitrate to use for full episodes? The ones you do always look and sound fantastic, and the filesizes are always much smaller than whenever I try and do ones of my own.
