Today there was a concour/display event for the Porsche Club of WA, held at a resort in the north. I was about to drive there (about 40mins) and as I did I saw a GT3 so I followed it and he parked on the foreshore. I asked the owner if he was going to the meeting, and he said yes but some of the cars were meeting here first…..which provided a nice location for some pics. :D
Then I drove to the resort (about 20 Porsches in a line with me splitting them up…lol  )….the turnout wasn’t really spectacular though (no TT, GT2 or CGT :( ), about 40 cars all up but mainly older ones.
However it was still nice to look at (and free), so here are the pics:

GT3:

This was in the carpark and didn’t seem part of the display, I’m not exactly sure of its correct name but have a feeling it’s a 964 Turbo 3.6 Flachbau…..am I right? :?

another one, the owner of this was very nice….apparently he’s owned Porsches for the past 20yrs and an M3 which he sold a few weeks ago to get this:

a bunch of 928’s and 944’s:

a white Cayenne, haven’t seen it in that colour before:

well more might have turned up later since they were staying the night at the resort and having a function (or ball)....but I didn't have the time to hang around till it got dark to see what else was coming.
In any case though it was a fun afternoon and a chance to look at the cars in more detail then I do when I see them on the road. :D

Thankyou, coming from you that is always a compliment. :D
BTW, the GT3 is blue but it does look more black in some of the pics.

Can anyone confirm (or deny) whether that Porsche is a 964 Turbo 3.6 Flachbau or not? :?

It's a Flachbau and it looks like it is a 964. But it isn't the official 1994 964 Turbo 3.6 Flachbau.

I think is is a normal 964 Turbo. But the owner converted it into a Flachbau, inspired by the 935 Flachbau/Flatnose. It also hasn't the standard 964 Turbo/Turbo Flachbau rear spoiler.

Thanks alot for the info dude....very helpful. :D The car sure sounded good when he drove off...some nice crackling from the exhaust as he got off the accelerator. :D

Beautiful Porsche pictures from your country. This is cool to see that it's currently the summer in Australia. 8)

it is summer, but looking at todays weather you could think it was winter. This coming week is going to be hot though, between 35-40C from Tuesday-Friday. :D
