^^^^
It's a taller Golf. VW says it has to compete with the Renault Scénic, the Ford C-Max, the Citroën Picasso, the Opel Zafira, etc. A bit strange, because I always thought the VW Touran was a competitor of those. But I think the Golf Plus is a bit smaller than the Touran, the Golf Plus will have only 5 seats, were the Touran has 7 seats. So I guess the Golf Plus is VW's Renault Scénic, and the Touran is VW's Renault Grand Scénic.

^^ thanks.
mmm... and it will be the same as the jetta vagon, sportvagon, as you call it, in my country. almost nobody is buying that thing.
in terms of space I don't see any real use.... another car to the oblivion of really forgetful cars

^^
You mean the Golf/Bora/Jetta Break or Variant, thus a break version (i.e. a 5 door with a box-like rear shape)?
for example:

No the Plus will be higher, more monuvolume like.
btw, here are some extra pics of the Golf Plus, taken at the Bologna Motorshow:

It will probably sell overhere in Europe. A lot of families with kids buy these sort of mini-MPV cars.

Yeah, Europe tends to love smaller more fuel and space efficient cars. So I can really see this car will be pretty popular. But not in NA for sure.

I dont like the MPVs concept since when driving them it seems that someone is driving a van rather than a car.......i do prefer a station wagon version of any touring car or the pug 307 which its a mixture between an ordinary 4 meter sized car and its equivalente MPV
What surprised me is that the lights are not shared with the ordinary Golf as it would simplify the production and that's as far as i know an intension of the VAG.
It's uglier than a normal Golf But it probally will cost more if you have to buy something like that than buy a Scenic
