Geez Man. Here am i thinking 5mp is huge. 4000 are u joking me? The explanation was a little to technical for me, but those photos are unreal! Especially where they zoom in on the couple sitting down and can tell what sort of watch he has on etc. :shock: :)

Dude, that's zoomed like crazy. It's normal you lose the quality then, you can't keep the sharpness if you zoom in on the pics using your pc.

Toronto was correct - at 100% the quality is very poor.
thamar - you only lose quality when you zoom past 100%. The image quality is crap in the 100% crop of the people.

Unless you are printing mega giant posters then this camera is useless

The images would be a couple of giga bytes is size....sure would have fun downloading it. And finding a PC that will load that picture without blowing up.

Some of my scans are 250megs, thats from my scanner. The resolution is so high that I can actually zoom into the colour particles of the image. Took a scan of the forza magazine, had a red enzo in it....when I zoomed in to the max in photoshop I could see the colour particles of the red print, the of paint job on the enzo......facinating stuff.

Exactly, for general domestic photography it's useless.

Like I said before - Unless you are printing giant advertising posters then this camera is useless. Just look at the quality at 100%, it's worse than a webcam.

Holly crap! there is no need for long sight gogles anymore! Did you see that city zoom! You can see the room furniture in the buildings! God damn that would be great to have on a portable dig camera. Funny thing is, this will be possible in the near future.
