What are the most useless cars on planet?

There are a nuber of useless cars on the planet, they are ugly, aimless, useless, and hard to sell for their wierd shape or charcter....
I was wondering about this topic and this is my list:

Toyota Prius
Lexus RX 400
BMW X3
MB A-class
the new B-class
Subaru Baja
Kia Opirus
VW Lupo
Fiat Multipla

Not to mention the some cars made by GM or Ford..... :wink:

To be honest I think there are cars that are way more useless than some of the ones you mention. I can understand that a dude from Dubai dislikes the Prius but it's hardly a useless car. Car of the Year in Europe if I'm not mistaken.

I don't really know what to say, but in your list there are some cars wich are not useless at all: the Prius.. finally hybrid power in an accessible package! And if we want to save our planet we need this (and even "worst"). The Lupo is a great seller around here, and always on the same tree hugger mood, the 3L diesel is a great thing!
The X3 is useless, I agree, so maybe the B Klasse, but the idea of multiplying cathegories and subcategories is sadly a reality.. we can't do nothing about it :D

Useless is an Hummer H2 owned by somebody who will never leave town and who maybe doesn't even have a big family :D

similar to what TT said, around here a useless car is someone who has a big 4WD (Landcruiser, Pajero....) and never leaves the city but just like to drive around in a big car to look powerful and pollute the environment.

I have to agree on the X3..it's only a few cm's shorter in all 3 dimensions than the X5. Ya can basically have the same engines in both.

prius is car of the year worldwide for a few years in a row for a reason..

as for the RX, the 400h isnt releaed anywhere in the world yet.. so the only reason its useless is becoz its not out.

A Ferrari Enzo has No space to carry anything and not much of an interior.. can carry 1 person... very noisy.. But yet no body call's it useless. :?: :roll: ..

None of the Hummers are any practical for civilian use. H1 is a good military vehicle, though. After that, all SUVs are on my list.

I don't agree with ahmedgiyab's list either: The Prius is an amazing achievement and the VW Lupo is a great urban car. The Fiat Multipla was really a pioneer in the people carrier segment. I was one of the first cars with such a flexible interior, and now "every" carmaker has one. Yes, it looks strage, but a lot of people like to stand out of the croud, and that one sure does... :wink:

almost all suv are useless if they only move in the city and carry 1 or 2 persons.
the Lupo... I don't know anything at dubai, but my stupid imagination tells me it has open roads, highways, etc. and a small car like the lupo is one of the best choices for any city, specially cramped like mine
the multipla could be ugly, but it isn't useless.

just like other mates here at jw, any hummer is a waste of steel, rubber, etc and... gasoline

another example... I don't find any use for the gigantic pick ups like the titan, lobo and ram in my city.... and these trucks only carry a fat person with a flowered silk shirt, full of gold chains and a golden watch, and never put those trucks on grass, dirt, sand....

Ok the 3L Lupo is VERY economical, but nothing else! Its small, ugly and not

Personally i don't really like the Toyota Pruis. But i wouldnt call it useless. It a great technological achievments.

hmmm i dontt hink any of the cars mentioned are useless, even the X3.... It may not be the sensible option, its not as good looking as the X5 etc etc but in its own right, it seats 5 comfortably, has a nice sized boot, good engine, and its a bimmer, hardly useless at all.

Everycar in production today tht i can think of has some use and is not completely useless - even if it is a shit car

It works pretty well as a mode of transportation. Just because it's one of the ugliest vehicles to be built, doesn't mean it's useless.

As much as I love it, I'd have to say the Ferrari F50 is one of the most useless cars ever made. It is almost impossible to drive on the street, ridiculously expensive, has a horrible interior, the engine isnt that great at low rpms and they are nearly impossible to find.

Dont get me wrong its works wonders on a track, but when it comes to the over all useability of the car, its about as usefull as a Kia Rio would be off road. :(

If you look at the usefullness of a car you have to say supercars score the worst.

They're expensive, devaluate often very fast, not very good at taking speed bumps (and we have plenty of those in Belgium), ... in short, their not very usefull.

And if I have to pick one specificly, I would vote for the Countach.

And I agree that supercars aren't very useful as far as utility and people moving are concerned, but consider the artistic and emotional aspect. Last time I checked people don't build dedicated showrooms for their minivans...

In my opinion, the most least useful car on this planet is the Hummer H2. It gets terrible mileage, looks horrible has little cargo capacity, is too large for most parking spots, and is pretty crappy when it comes to off-roading.

yeah to me the H2 is a mixed bag. i don't hate it like a lot of people do, but all of it's shortcomings don't quite justify its use. it's not horrible offroad, but not nearly as good as it should be, esp considering the size. i think it was a major packaging mistake by Hummer.

SUV based off of cars--pointless, buy a car if your a panzy
Potiac Aztak--a smaller H2 that fits in parking spaces
Caddy SUV-- it sucks off road and will get you stuck, and there are better things
Smart cars--what's the point of haveing 40+ mpg if you have a 8 gallon tank?
FWD anything--there is nothing fun about them.

most useless car is not brand or make.. but an non-functional car is the most useless car..
i have a 79 vw rabbit in my driveway. it doesnt run, and i cant even use the interior for storage because it leaks.. there is nothing on it worth my time to part out and its a rust bucket.. to me, useless.

PRIUS?!?! useless?!?! Maybe people in Dubai dont give a fuck about gas prices or the environment but the rest of the world tends to disagree. the prius is a great car and even if it doesnt look that great at least toyota is making an effort to produce cars that dont fuck up the planet.
onyl useless cars i can think of (if there are any) are the pontiac aztex and the cadillac escalade EXT-- the flatbed will nver be used becaue its a car for show not utility.

It has nothing to do with Dubai....gas has almost the same price as in the US.... :wink:

We don't have the Prius here, but as I see its price and performance, well its just useless! Its nice to have some "green" cars, but I think for their price at least 70-80% of the European buyers would choose the Avensis with 2.0 diesel engine, or something similar....

No, I wouldn't. But in 10 years there might be a nice performing hybrid car that I'll want. The first petrol powered car had horrible performance, but the great cars of today wouldn't exist if that first horrible car never was made...

As OVERLORD_CHRIS pointed out, very few of us made a list, so here it comes:
1 Hummers (all civilian)
2 Dodge SRT-10 - only cowboys want fast trucks. Normal people want a practical truck and/or a fast car.
3 Ford Lightning
4 Cadillac Escalade - I think SUVs in general are stupid, but this is just beyond belief
5 X5 - Others have said X3, but I want to turn it around. The X3 is virtually the same size and comes with the same engines(?). Why pay extra for the X5?
6 Other SUVs - Buy a proper 4x4 if your going to the woods, or a large estate car if you need the room

We're talking abous usefulness here, you dumbass. FWD was a marvelous invention and most cars still use it to this day. Sure, it might not be as much fun as RWD but, it's a lot safer.

And Smart cars are useful. They were created to solve the congestion problems in European cities and other big cities. Or maybe you like to drive ten hours through downtown Manhattan in your Escalade, or whatever fucking useless cowboy mobile for the city you have.
