That was a lot of music and affects for such a small video. It was cool though, but how was that s2000 passing up the exige? Bad exige driver or tuned s2000?

s2000 has about 60 more hp than exige

^^^ yeah but I also think that the Exige driver either wasn't very good or he didn't push it.

Nice! video! that S2000 was probably tuned. And did that S2000 pass a Porsche?

The S2000 is 60hp more than the Exige,no doubt about that. But the Exige is several 100's of kilos lighter that the S2000 which makes it handle and go a lot better. The thing is that the track is very wide and with long straights and these small Lotus cars are not very famous about their top end speeds. This would explain the catch up of the Honda.
Thanks a lot for the vid

that S2000 is obviously modded *or* the other cars were not racing on that lap. A stock S2000 will not pass either of those cars that easily....impossible.
the makers of videos like that should write what mods are on the car, so people know what they're watching
 yeah it is modded then I guess or the people in the Porsche and Lotus are just driving around slow for the fun. But I dont see the fun of driving a Porsche or Lotus on a race track fun.

What mods do you say the S2000 had done to it? Obviously that was the stock exhaust, and I have yet to see an all motor tunning package for the S2000 that gave it any more than 20 hp, and it certainly wanst turbo/supercharged.
I have no doubt that was a stock S2000, and they are lightning fast cars when pushed hard around a track, but the Elise and the Porsche should be faster, but we all know that. So whats the point in even discusing it. Good vid non-the-less. Thanks for the link

mm, i wouldnt undersetimate the S2000 proably cause we have one, but, i really depends on the driver. The S2000 in most magazinse is said to do 0-60 in about 7 seconds, however, if driven like this car should it can do it in about 5.5 seconds, its just a hell of lot more difficult than a car with more torque down low.

as for S2000s not being able to raise their HP without an exhaust...you're dead wrong ;)
took this off an S2000 forum member's profile..i think you can EASILY tune an S2000..a simple supercharger does the trick :D
317 rwhp/193 ft-lbs(DynoJet-Oct 21, 2004)
Comptech SC w/ AC and 7lbs pulley/Comptech flywheel/ACT PP/Invidia/Hondata intake gasket/VAFC-II/4.57's/Gendron adj swaybar/Koni Yellows/Eibach-GC 380 spring rate/Muz underbrace/ProDrive GC-06D/Toyo T1-S(street)/OEM wheels w/ RA-1's shaved(track)
First of all: what you are saying just conflicts with what you are quoting. Not only that car has an exhaust but this is a whole turbo conversion including everything that is needed to increase the power by serious numbers. Almost every car can be tuned by this way as long as you have the money to do it.
To continue with we can understand you being a great fun of the Audi TT but if you would put an S2k and a TT in a track who do you think will pass the finish line first :?: :?: :?: Even if the Audi was tuned 1st stage with chip, filter and exhaust still the S2000 would be faster, not a lot but still. This comes from first hand experience as i have friends owning a TT and an S2k.

I will agree on the part that a stock S2000 would not have passed an Exige(in corners) as i have written it on my first post as well.
I looked at the video one more time and i noticed something.Could it be that the TT has a single exhaust? That would mean that it is either 150hp or 180 instead of the top of the range 225hp. If you guys could ckeck it out and tell me what you see(cause its a bit blury). If indeed it is one these two version then that would explain why the S2k overtakes that easy. As for the Exige i am still holding on my first comment: Not very high top end speed, long straight course.

true - but lotus seemsed to me carrying same corner speed as s2k - and as we all know it able to go much faster through that ;) - just a scared driver (or couple of mates trying to make a storm in a glass of water on JW) ;)

i am really glad that we are getting somewhere and we agree on what we see. I guess now it makes a lot more sense.
