I've seen this before, it's a cool vid. Mr-2's are pain in the but to work on, small engine bay, getting enough air to the turbo, but if you use jap-spec 2.2L you got one hell of an engine to work with.

Huh...there is no difference in engine size between the Japanese and American 2nd gen MR2, the Japanese cars just have less emissions restrictions and more aggressive tuning to give them more hp. The 2.2L (5S-FE) is N/A, and it has much less potential than the 2.0L turbo 3S-GTE.

2.2L 5sfe 130-135hp
2.0L Turbo 3sgte 200hp

JDM =
2.0 3sge 160-215hp
2.0 Turbo 3sgte 200-245hp
