its easy to understand why the first truck would fell, it parked so close to the water, plus it didnt have the support rail like the second truck has. its normal that the object they lift up will swing (since its filled with water).

hope no one is injured.

Of course they don't. American trucks are perfect...way better than Volvo and Mercedes. Oh, wait. (note sarcasm)

Id like to think his point is there heavier and built for larger duty.. Which is true. Seeing as how we are much more reliant on trucking then europe. We do make much more heavy duty big trucks then they do. And when I say trucks Im not talking about an escallade.;)

Volvo of North America makes real trucks, unlike there Europe counter parts, pretty too. http://www.volvo.com/trucks/na/en-us/
And Mercedes markets them selves through Freightliner in North America, so they don't flip into the water like in the picture. http://www.freightliner.com/

Now that i think about a Ford F-450 Tow truck could have pulled that out with falling in.

Is it a european truck if its designed, built, marketed, and basically only used in an american market?;)

Note: Im sure they sell a few over there, but Im also 100 percent sure that they arent anywhere near as dependent on large car trucking as we are.

I'm 100% sure it is a 2003 Toyota Corolla.

I didn't found any pics of the 2003 model, I only found these of the 2004 model:

A Focus looks completely different: it doesn't have the real lights so low placed. The rear window of the 3 door version is a triangular, not a trapezium, ...

That Volvo they used in the second round is rather heavy duty(by our standard, not compared to the american highway cruisers). The point in this case isn't how heavy trucks are available, but how heavy truck they thought was necessary. I didn't fall of the chair when I saw it, but it was close

Not that it matters, but of course it's a Corolla...

graywolf: I know you guys like to be the big shots and all, but this is a rather heavy duty crane to be on a truck.....and its Norwegian.....

Go look at my picture gallery for the picture of my fathers truck...

Im not saying we're big shots or your wusses.. But rare is the 80000 lb load in europe.. Australia on the other hand.

Hell.. you guys make fun of us all the time for this fact. aka using something even bigger then whats necessary to do the job.
