I just want to ask a question..

Dose more amplifiers mean's more sound and clearer or no ?? :?:

i am en electric electronic engineering student. amplify means to make something bigger. it can be a signal, a voltage or a current. so simply it should amplify the sound but neither i know much. my cousin want to make a sound system for his car and i just found these while searching. i have no idea how they work. if i learn them, i also let you know also.

from what I've known so far, the amplifier makes the sound level more bigger depends on the watts of that amplifier...so in this case 8800 Watt of sound is to much! u could wake up the neighbors with that..
But if ur in the SPL lane its okay, i'll stick to the SQ

more amplifiers = more power = louder

Quality depends on how the amplifier is made which depends on the manufacturer. A quality amp is arguarbly more important than quality speakers as the signal goes through the amp and if it is distorted from the origin then the sound coming out of the speakers is going to be crap no matter how good the speakers are. Obviously you need speakers to match the output of the amp.

In the same respect, a decent head unit should be where u spend the most money as this is what generates the signal. Crap head unit and you're gonna get a crap signal and it wont really matter what amps and speakers u connect to it as the signal can only get worse once its left the head unit.

Having said tht, i think its a waste of time. You dont need all tht to have a decent system. Plus, that stuff weighs a hell of a lot and when making a car fast, u dont want weight :P
