I've been invited to go on this trackday next month. I was wondering whether anyone has been to Bedford Autodrome, where it is being held, or even done the same event?

Dani, the Clio indeed looks like it's going to be great fun to drive.
With over 180bhp powering just 950kg, the power to weight ratio is terrific. But what truly sets it apart is the most fun gearbox you will have ever laid hands on. This 6 speed ultra close ratio sequential shift has an ignition cut too, so you can keep the accelerator pedal nailed to the floor and make Schumacher-slick shifts just by flicking the lever back, time and again. Child’s play!
Its going to be a great day im sure, i just hope it doesnt rain

ya lucky bastad :P Is it a company thing or you going with some mates??
They're some amazing cars there, especially the Jaguar JP1, i'd love to drive tht.
Bedford autodrome as the name implies is an abandoned airfield. Pretty flat but lots of interesting corners and most importantly a lot of concreted run off area so you can push the limits without feeling too nervous.
Have fun ;)

It's a corporate thing, and i just managed to blag an invite
The cars sound incredible, im looking forward to driving each and every one of them. And judging from a few reviews online, the instructors aren't at all nannying, in fact quite the opposite  ... gonna pack a change of underwear then
Will post pics & full report when it happens :)

Ive been up to bedford, with my mate when he had his seat fitting for his season in Formula Palmer Audi. Oh i hate to burst any bubbles but that FPA wont do 165 mph! They were topping out at about 149-154 at monza, whatever wing setting, i belive they got that top speed by getting the 2 seater, and changing the turbo, winding up the boost, and going mad with it!
I havent actually driven any of the cars, but i have been in the main shed where they work on them all, and its quite an impressive set up! You'll have a great time no doubt.
Its a bit of a bitch to find though! Middle of nowhere! And (as usuall for racing tracks) fuckin freezing, all the time! :)

nice nice, but are you going to have a shot with all those cars?
It seems so. I've read a few reviews online and that does appear to be the case. Possibly karts too...

Crap.... 154 is just too slow... in that case i won't bother going....

I'll definitely put some pics up after i do it :)
As for how much it would cost as an individual, i should think £500 at the very least.
