What happened to Stig?

I dunno if this is a repost, cuz i remembered someone was saying something about why Stig was changed? but can't find it...

apparently he died?? does anyone have more information? i thought he was changed cuz he wasn't good enough compare to the white stig

and if he really died, shouldn't he deserve more than just 2 paragraph on the website?

He did'nt really die, it was a pretend story. They made is look like he fell off a aircraft carrier.
I think in reality he must have quit.

The previous stig had black clothing. He was fired, he did not quit. He ws supposed to be a secret F1 driver but he took advantage of Top Gear. I think he wrote a book and in then he announced himself as Top Gears "Stig." That was when he got replaced and they made a video where they showed him drive a tunned old jaguar out an aircraft carrier. So now, the white stig, is the replacement.
