The LOADED CSL is for sure a crazy beast, but 7:30 seems outrageously fast to me.. too fast really...

Downloading the video, but beeing less than 20 MB I doubt it is the whole lap... so how could we know for sure the claimed time is true?

edit... yes indeed the video is one of the old ones about this car.. not NS related at all...

well, untill we won't see at leat a video that could show vaguely a 7:30 I think we could wonder if it's bullshit or not...

If you lighten a CSL by 250kgs, add another 100hp and adjust handling properties like these guys have done, taking that 20 seconds off a lap is believable. Of course it's not proven without a video, but i cannot understand why these guys jump on Frazee's back because of his claim? They act like jealous little kids.. :roll:

This is the most famous CSL actually. It has a compressor. But... I doubt it could be faster than the CGT. It would be good to see a video or even a race from the guys of Best Motoring. :D

The NSX is an excelent car. For some reason it was the Ayrton Senna's favourite car. I trully believe it should be faster than the CSL.

I don't know if you have already seen but in a video from Best Motoring the NSX is faster than the Gallardo and the Murcielago almoust until the end of the race, wich is pretty impressive.

your not very familiar with Best Motoring are you? They give godsung or what ever his name, the most experienced driver, in a car he drives every show the NSX, then race it againest the least experienced drivers with less seat time in their cars. Do you really believe that a NSX will beat a 360 Modena around a track? Also in one video, some how the Modena, and a M3 spun out. Then in another episode a NSX beat a TVR on the straight!!!

An NSX-R is the one that usually beats the 360 and the 360 did beat the R in one race, and yes Gan-san is usually driving it, but the car does have somethings going for it. It did pull a 7:56 at Nurburgring which isn't far off the CSL especially considering the CSL was practically born on the Nurburgring.

lol ya thats show is so messed up lol i saw an episode where they were comparing quarter mile times and they clocked the F40 at like 13 seconds lol like 13.2 or somethin liek what the hell, then another test against another car the guy does it in like 11's

and i think an m3 csl doin a faster time then the CGT is so stupid a car like that with tha price and technology and aerodynamics and exoticism shouldnt be beatin a a sedan, well not a sedan but you know what i mean like a regular type car thats been modded

Let me first say that a car cannot be specially prepared for the Nurburgring. The track is so versatile, a car has to be great in every aspect to run a proper time. The NSX-R can indeed keep up with a 360 Modena, in fact, it has been proven to be faster around the Nordschleife.

About the CSL, don't forget it's running on semi-slicks which shave of at least 10-15 seconds a lap on the Nordschleife, if not more...and the CSl on semi-slicks runs 7:50 "stock"...

I doubt the 7:30.....

the lap is done with a proffesionel driver and a ordinary CSL do the ring in 7.50 min. the car got lots of potential so I dont see why 7.30 min cant be done.

SportAuto with Horst von saurma is going to drive it later, then let us see if 7.30 min can be reached.

Ps semi slicks dont make the car 15 sec faster, pro drivers says max 7-8 sec and dontforget when CSL was tested, the speed was limited at 255km/h.

you can not lighten a car which is almost lightened about %10 of its normal weight using normal steel. that is why cgt, enzo, slr, mclaren f1 sort of supercars made from carbon fiber simply because carbon fiber is much more stronger and lighter. for more carbon-fiber info and comparison chart with other materials:

I think that with the right components you can make a supercharged m3 csl run 7:30.... but I dont think this guy has the right parts. I call bullsh*t. I bet he ran fast, 7:40 maybe, but I think he either has his information wrong, or is exagerating alittle bit. :o

Considering the CGT is an Enzo equivalent - with only 400 odd hp on tap how is the CSL reaching the CGT/Enzo speeds on the straight aways..... ??

By the way another Swedish AC Shnitzer CSL has run 7:36 with Swedish magazine Auto Motor & Sport, also highly moddified in the chassi/brake departement, but with stock engine.

Fredrik Ekblom drove AC Shnitzer CSL together with a GT3 RS at the ring with the Auto Motor & Sport crew. They did record 7:36 with the CSL vs 7:40 for the GT3 RS.
The driver comment was that GT3 RS fellt stonger and faster although the clock told otherwise. The CSL was faster thru fast corners, and felt more stable, and braked better....
The GT3 RS was standard with a simmilar price tag as the moddified AC S CSL...

By the way. ABout the NSX... Nice, very nice car. But NEVER can beat a STOCK CSL....
If you mention about the video where the NSX lead nearlu the whole race.. Front of a Gallardo and Michea... CSL is behind a 911T.. Listen carefully..
The CSL Marked the BEST LAP TIME... but it couldnt pass the 911T in the short straights... In first laps when its VERY behind 911.. Marks the best lap...

actually Nsx-R is defintily faster then 360 modena around a track.. like for sureee... the R version is even lighther and has diffeerent suspenspsion and other component i think... but 360cs would kill it no problem

i think skill factor is also a key in the results in best motoring.. gundsong is really expereicned... and you could tell some other drivers are not as good as him..
but drift king will rape all of them ^^

Considering a racing GT3 (with about the same power) can do a 7:03 it should be possible if the car is set correctly. Speaking of the tyres he could be running slicks?

If an ACS can do 7:36 with stock engine, then 7:30 seems very realistic
