Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post these, but if not please feel free to move them.

I was going through some of the pictures I have taken on various vacations in the last few months, and found some nice pics that I have taken of various things. Some of them are sunsets and others are just interesting pics. All of them are from either Newfoundland/Texas/Arizona or Lake Tahoe! As always, comments are always welcome...

Enjoy

lol...thanks man, I've only been getting into landscape photography over the past few months, so hopefully it will get better from here!
I've never heard of the M3F Media festival, I tried to look it up on Google but it said that the website was out of order. Thanks for the heads up though, I will be sure to ask someone at my school about it tomorrow.

Jamberl, I currently use a Canon Powershot A80 digi cam

Another thing: If you like Photography so much, consider getting photo editing software for a better result. For example, using Photoshop you can improove your images much better

Compare here: (your originals are the smaller square, the enhanced is the rest)

More "vivid" green seen here

The water looks more clear and more colorful. Sky has been clarified for a better look too.

The biggest improoved picture! You can really see a difference in sky pictures cant you?

Is there any chance what you did to those pics was a really simple filter? please tell secrets.

Its not hard at all. You just have to play around with HUE, Saturation, and other stuff. For enhancin pics, it is easy. Editing images as in adding stuff and mergin and stuff, that is hard.

btw paying for Photoshop means you make a living out of Photoshop... for amateurs like me, I just want to learn it so I dont have an original copy.

To be more accurate to your request...

open up the image you want to edit and instead of messing arround with filters go to Image - Adjustments

There you have a variety of tools you can use to put more color, reduce color, clarify, contrast, brightness, saturation etc.

Sure can, Just give me some time, By the day after tomorrow, ill PM you with the edited links for all the files you have in your directory.

Yes, its photoshop CS

You should try Jasc Paint Shop Pro. There is a 1-click enhancer in that program. Just load the image, click that one button and it does it all for you. Obviously manually is better, but for starters, youll be amazed with the results!
