LOL...definetely seems to have a converted Pantera front end on it. Maybe on a Porsche 914 chassis, but I think that's probably looking a little too deeply into it.

It's loosely based on another production car, but the cross over parts consist mainly of drivetrain components. The frame and body work is all original to the car. New government regulations and the demise of the production car it used to obtain some of it's parts prevented the car from entering production. And finally for a hint, I saw the car in person at a race(it wasn't racing) at Limerock Park.

OK, I'm going to throw a hint out there now:
This uses parts from a Corvair. This car never made it into production because the Corvair and this car was outlawed due to new safety standards in the 1960's... Thanks to Ralf Nader's report, "Unsafe at anyspeed". So as a result of the car failing the new safety standards and end of the production of many of it's parts it never made it. You can see this car now and again at Limerock Park in Lakeville, CT.

Lol, I got to hear Nader speak and he mentioned that entire policy. Kind of eccentric guy, but f'king smart. And no, it didn't help me identify the car :) Don't know the latest one either...too dated for me to even warrant a guess.
