I own a pal PS2 and was looking for a way to play import games (jap) without modifying the console e.g. plug 'n' play type of device. I'd like some recommendations and any feedback on any such devices that can do the job. Thanks in advance people.

My only luck thus far is the slide-card + magic boot disc set, but it seems like such a hassle.

not a chance, you have to have it modded. Im waiting for www.xmodd.com to have the new ps2's the thin ones. Once they have one of those modded ill buy one.

i think this is a way to do it:

1.borrow or go to a modded PS2 with a removable hd
2.use the modded PS2 to read the files and copy it onto the hd
3.use the hd on ur PS2

the hd is just any computer hd, u have to buy the software and a network card, its an alternative way to mod, since moding a PS2 is illegal in Australia

Get the Flip Top lid with Magic Swap discs, easiest way to mode your PS2.
