Want to drive a F1 car in Sweden?

Prices are from around 10 to 20.000 SK, which is around 1 to 2.000 Euro.

Damon Hill's F1 Jordan 198 from 1998, or Johnny Herberts Jaguar from 1999 are prepared and waiting at the Scandinavian Raceway to give you a thrill and adventure that very very few will ever know.

JR Racing Experience, with F1 driver Johan Rajamäki as instructor, has put together a whole days programme that is not just a Formula 1 adventure. You will also have a thorough practical and theoretical training. In other words you are well prepared then the light changes from red to green.

The day starts with a theory lesson on base racing knowledge. The lesson includes practical and theoretical information on sitting position, handling the car, the racing line through the corners and braking technique. The next step is to use this knowledge by test driving a formula Lotus car for a number of laps. During lunch you have the possibility to discuss your experiences and prepare yourself for the Grand Final- 8 laps in a F1 car .
The team that help you and the other participants during the day are all experienced instructors.If you want to crown your F1 experience with something really special, you can be co- driver with Johan when he drives a PRC sports car at maximum round the circuit.We guarantee you a ride that you will never forget

WOW! if the price is really that "low", I'd say, given the money, everybody should apply! Considering how much it costed a passenger ride in an Enzo and how worthy it was, 1000 € to actually drive an F1 car on track is a bargain!

I saw this jag in Norway in July, and it looked very temting to drive it..

For an entire day at the track it's a damn bargain. And 8 laps in it + laps in other cars. A damn good deal! I wish I was in Europe. :(

It's obvious that it's a bargain but I understand abbor. For example, if someone sold an Enzo for half of its price, it would be a bargain but I couldn't afford it. This is more or less the same, it's a great offer but I have to spend my money in other things.

It is a bargain (relatively speaking). A one day during track day at a well known European track costs about 250 to 350 euro. Driving an F1 car, doing some track day experience and having some advanced driving lessons for 1000 to 2000 euro is 'cheap'.

Don't think any deposit will be able to cover the cost of "repair" if that's even possible. Most likely it'll be covered by insurance.

For $1k, it's really a bargain (if I can afford it). A one day driving course from BMW would cost half of that. Consider how much more the F1 costs to run, if it's not a bargain, what is?

i think this is a very good idea liek the bob bondurant school but this is with F1 cars

You have to pay 30.000SEK - 3400Euros
I'm attending a class spring 2005 - I'll try to get some videos, incar too (if they allow a camera. Host of Autofil tried it some time a go. See if I can post it in the video links site during the day

Are they not using the sequential transmission? That would pretty much make it pointless.

Another option for driving an F1 car is http://www.agsformule1.com They were one of the first in the world to offer such an experience.
A couple of years ago I saw an item on it on Dutch television, it was supercool!

You can choose from 2 options: F1 "Modern" Course or F1 "Classic" Course. Both of them are powered by a 650bhp 3.5L V8 Ford Cosworth engine, but the main difference is that the "Classic" F1 car has a 6-speed Hewland manual gearbox! So it's possible to feel what F1 drivers experienced about 15 years ago, before all those electronics where introduced! :o
