If he does not get a new contract from Citroen, Colin McRae will form his own rally-raid team with his brother Alister, driving new Nissan prototype pickups. From Auto motor und Sport.
That would be fun, wouldn't it?

Well, he can forget his contract with Citroen :D

But if he wants a team in the Paris-Dakar, he will then compete also in the others rally red during the year...
But I also read he was interested to enter his own team with Alister, in WRC... we will see :)

In the meanwhile, San Remo's rally is here.. let's see if Colin is able to score some points finally :D

I'll be betting on Gilles Panizzi, but I guess that's the obvious choice. I'd like to see Loeb win, though...

The four crews in the superproduction category will be driving the new 2004 version of the Nissan Pickup. The new vehicle has been significantly redesigned for improved aerodynamics, ergonomics and dynamic performance.

The Nissan Rally Raid Team will be managed by newly appointed team manager Gilles Martineau. Gilles has solid experience of motorsport team management, having spent 12 years with Ford, where has was the Director of Motorsport Activities.

The Dakar Rally is one of Nissan’s global motorsports priorities. In 2002, the company committed to a 4-year rally raid programme, allowing it to demonstrate its 4x4 expertise and promote its brand image worldwide.
