I've seen these pics before...pretty kickass. But I do have one question. The night pic can't have been taken all at once since you can't possible have the whole world going through the night at the same time...so im guessing that either its just a photoshop thing where they've joined the different regions at night and pasted them together, that or this pic is a complete hoax...some dude playin on photoshop putting lights at random places and shit....

there is one file Id love to get. nVidia was hosting it a long time ago. It was a 100mb .TIFF image of the world and you could ZOOM a LOT. Anyone here have it just in case?

Yeah, pics are joined together. As to bright areas in Russia, they are bright (railway) cos there are other areas so dark. I found explanation at the links... But it really is a real photo.

Maan this image is so gorgeous!!!. PS it may be or whatever i dont really mind but its one of the best images i have ever ever seen. I think more ppl should see this pic atleast. They are all missing somethig id say
