Why the Hell do they put complex 4wd systems in SUVs? Nobody uses them off the road anyway. :| :?

sooooo true, Jeep is now seeing that with gas prices going the way they are here in the US, people are just going to have to stop buying SUVs. So they are trying to sell as many as possible before the dumb USA SUV buyers catch wind.

That's a big lie. Almost all the people I know who have trucks modify them for off-road use and then go off-roading. But maybe that's just a Texas thing.

ha.. HA!

HOW IT WAS DONE: In reality, even a Jeep can't climb a vertical wall, silly, so the shell was fixed to a sled and a steel cable and the whole plot was pulled up by a crane.

horse crap!! i just did a used car check on an X5 that the owner had taken off-road..probably a little too far off road since the transfer case had been resealed once but was still leaking from being whacked on something that was sticking up a bit too far.

needless to say, that vehicle got wholesaled :x

BUT the funny thing is, he traded it in on an M3 SMG...in fact it was the red M3 in the background of the pic i took of the Z8

( What you saw today -> My dealer's Z8)

I"m wondering how long it will be until he fries the clutch with program 6 :roll: :wink:

i think its mainly from geographic area.. from your sig, you are from texas. and it is a vast land for offroading. so i can see why u object. but it seems rather obsolete for city use... and most jeeps i see driven are buisness people. probably the most difficult hill from a typical jeep owner will encounter is going up there own driveways..

I know plenty of people who take SUV's and trucks offroading while camping and stuff. Not to mention them using them in the snow.
