Nice gloomy day for a drive...

Well, the weather here right now is pretty crappy. Very foggy/dark with some rain. so...i figured it was a good day to test the wet-weather performance of my tires on a nice fun road.

the road of choice is called Skyline Dr., oddly enough, and its got a lot of twisty bits to keep you on your toes. its also pretty narrow, but thats not usually a problem.
The road starts with a few uphill hairpins (one of which i managed to oversteer the Celica on while going downhill :shock: a few weeks back in the dry), and then goes into some more flowy stuff, still mostly uphill, but of course its all downhill the other direction, and equally as fun.

here's some shots of a couple sections of the road. i coulnd't take pics of the hairpins cuz there's nowhere to stop, but maybe someday i'll video tape it.

ya, you'll have to excuse those pics. my camera is horrible in poor lighting conditions such as today. only seems to take clear shots in sunlight and indoors :cry:

with good enough tires, driving in the wet is fun too :wink: slightly more scary when going around hairpins and tight corners (the back stepped out on me once today, so i had to hit the brakes to get it back in line, and i think i heard my front wheels slipping...intense stuff :twisted: ), but still great fun.
i didn't pay for all season tires for nothing...

Very nice road. You definitely need some skills to drive it fast. 8)
