If they put a turbo on that Rover KV6 engine that their planning to use, then that car will be rivaling more than just the Boxster.

I think that the lotus will be a hard rival for the boxster, and that it wont dissapoint me as lotus has never dissapointed me with its models launches

well toyota seems the obvious choice since the new Elise engine is also a Toyota engine (i dont know if/what kind of V60 engines Toyota has).

I will love the new car, no doubt, but still i htink if they had made the M250 concept it would have been one of the best cars ever.

i worked at proton over the summer............maybe its not based on the elise....but something quite similar to it............maybe that could be the powerplant for it?

Yeah, I cant think of any company I would rather see championed for their engineering than Lotus (except maybe Mclaren.... damn you schumacher).
It is more than well known that Lotus does suspension like no one else can.... they are just the masters of track. 8)

V6 engined small 2 seater GT from Lotus? Noble should be very worried! Let's hope it's not another FWD Elan type affair, competent but dull.

i'd guess it will be another toyota engine, although don't rule out something from bmw. The esprit replacement will most likely have a bmw v8, so its possible the GT (which will sit between elise and esprit) may also have a bmw powerplant.

Personallly i'd love to see the straight six E36 vanos engine in something light weight with two seats - 340 bhp, german reliability, wicked sound :)
