Apparently VW have decided to produce the concept R. It's scheduled for a 2007 release and its rumored to have a 280hp V6 as its top engine.

This car is very beautiful. With rear traction and a good engine, I'm expecting for an excelent car 8)

can't wait more car in a busy segment. 350, S2k, TT, Crossfire, RX-8, etc. Bring on the VW

VERY nice coming from VW... Mid engined... no front wheel drive bullshit.. looks very promising..

I like this new VW Concept R, but I hope the car will be reliable. :wink:
