I'm sick of CCR's power -- who wanna use full throttle on a wet track? :D Thx for the scan TT :)

The company and designers seem confident and inspired enough, but I'm a little disappointed with the straightline. I know obviously it will do a lot better in the wet, but those performance figures aren't too much better than the SLR in very similar conditions.

But it does have more torque than the SLR has HP.

Huh? It does 60-160 2.9 seconds better than the SLR. That's fairly significant. In the dry, the McLaren F1 does it 1.9 seconds quicker than CCR. Granted, the SLR is heavier and has only a 5-speed auto...
Thanks for the scan!

Great article TT! I found it interesting that the CCR's license plate was "Modena"...;)
The topspeed stuff was very interesting as well...the McLaren F1 would only need 370hp to go 200mph!
And 52 more hp to increase your topspeed from 100mph to 115mph (that must be with a pretty bad Cd...but still).

If anything, the CCR's massive power and exceptionally fat tires would almost make it slower (in the wet) than SLR, just because the SLR can get on full power sooner.

I belive it comes down to traction in the end...i bet the 626 in the SLR would be easier to get to the road, then the 806 in the CCR.. 8)

Koenigsegg CCR - the official Guinness Book of World Records - most powerful production car in the world.
http://www.koenigsegg.com/news/articles.asp?news=80
that link leads to a scan of the official copy by GBWR.
they say it replaced the CC8s for the record, but i believe the Enzo held it for a year.
(sorry couldn't find a more apropos thread to post this in - i kno some exist, but the search function wasn't doing much for me and i was hesitant of starting a new topic)
