have to say i did like the day after tomorrow for the special effects as i liked that finally in a movie the title wave was not just a huge wall of water but more like a swell much better then the wave in deep impact i thought that was crap and so was pleasantly suprised when they made it more realistic and it is always good value to see LA getting torn up by tornados.

agree the wolves where shit but i did find out that the audio post guys got a real wolf in to do the sound and also used some of the sounds they got for the ice chasing them in the library.

i take more interest in the sound because i work for an audio studio so is interesting to hear what they use and how they use it.

i am sure that when i watch a movie the everyone else gets to listen no matter what as it has to be nice and loud so you get the full effect.

no not a particularly great film didn't have a story to speak of and i just found it funny the whole thing is about how we caused the ice age through burning of fuel and stuff like that but they decide to fly in with all the helicopters to save everyone at the end.

TT is there anything good on the second disc?

Maybe there should be on section for movies, but I must once again write about the movie I've seen :D
I thought that I'll pick some good entertainment with great special effects, but movie was more comedy than anything else. I kind of expected more from the maker of Indepence Day, though that movie was also filled with stupid American heroism and propaganda :?
Also watched The Passion of the Christ last night. Nothing suprising in the plot  Sure it was better than "the day after"
Did you really expect anything else from the maker of independance day? Big action, lots of special effects, nothing else.
Has anyone seen 'master and commander'?
TT is there anything good on the second disc?
IMO yes, very long bonus parts about global environnement problems and about the movie itself. The difference here between the normal and the 2 discs one was pretty slim so I had to have the latter :D

I like the part in The Day After Tomorrow when this guy
http://www.digitalhit.com/sag/10/sag04-147.jpg
loses a mack battle against some gay guy in New York and in a plan to totally screw over the main character's son he tells him "hey you should tell her how you feel"
This for some reason or other works and there is some cheesy love seen between these two

while the other guy probably jerks off in the corner and cries because he threw away perfectly good pussy[/img]

I saw "the day after" in theatres and the effects were pretty spectacular although the plot was complete horseshit. All in all it was pretty entertaining if you turned you're brain off.
btw, anyone else get really really cold while watching it? for some reason i was freezing when i walked outa the theatre.

no i didn't get cold when i saw the movie at the theatre which was a bit suprising as usually the ac at the cinema is cold enough to begin with.
