Top Gear usually has a Sunday slot...everything is captured live to my PC so I dont have to re-capture it from VHS...it can be a juggling act at times though :)

Lets hope (and I am sure it will be) its TIFF...he also started series one off with the green Murcielago....

If he does, then let's hope he got time to get used a bit to Lamborghini's new course. He was a bit harsh on the Murciélago IMO...

Nope I am afraid I agree with Tiff.....the Murcielago is for girls with its traction control and soft lines....also for anyone that didnt want to try and tame the Devil

The traction control can be swithed off and I really like the Murciélago's design. I've been a Lamborghini fan since the age of five and I think Donckerwolcke has really done a big step forward. The car is not just up to date, but gives clues about Lamborghini's past too. I really don't see what's girly about a Murciélago...

Well you should know that Lamborghinis are not meant to be soft...but thats the Audi in the car for you now....doesnt sound like we got much Italian passion in the design either coming from "Donckerwolcke" I am sure thats going to be right up there along with Pininfarina and Marcello Gandini
Maybe you are the new type of customer that Lamborghini is looking for...I know of at least seven other Diablo owners in the owners club that are extremely disappointed with it and will be sticking with their Diablo's for now...
If you want to know why its for girls now..I guess you need to listen to what Tiff has to say about it again.....plus I know of two girls that drive them where as they couldnt quite manage a Diablo or Countach...(thus making it more of a girls car)

Although the Countach and Diablo made a sort of tradition for Lamborghini, you can't say Lamborghini's weren't meant to be soft. I don't think they're supposed to be soft either, but I think you can call the Murciélago lots of things except soft. It's just not as mad as a Countach or Diablo. Ferruccio Lamborghini started out building GT cars, that was his goal. That's why he never wanted to take Lamborghini racing. The Diablo, Countach and Miura actually are the only really outrageous cars Lamborghini built. All the other ones are probably 'soft'. And they are real Lamborghini's and have nothing to do with Audi...
I wouldn't mind Lamborghini wanting to sell me a Murciélago at all. If only I had the money for it. I would want a Jarama, Islero, Miura, Countach, Diablo too if I had the money. For those customers that don't care about usability and want more of a hardcore car, Lamborghini should build an SV version or a roadgoing R-GT. That would be a solution I think.
Jabba, after seeing Vicki driving the Diablo you haven't started calling your Diablo a girls car, have you? Usability is not a bad thing. People may be spoilt nowadays, but I don't see what a heavy clutch or gearlever adds to the pace and thrill of a Lamborghini.

yes and look how they were all remembered...or not as the case maybe...I wonder what most people think of when talking about Lamborghini soft looking cars or wild outrageous looking ones...
Jabba, after seeing Vicki driving the Diablo you haven't started calling your Diablo a girls car, have you?
I was unaware that Vicki owns that Diablo VT she was driving ??? or perhaps she doesnt and she drives something a bit less demanding....

If you ever drive one you will understand...by being more demanding it kinda adds to the excitement...kinda like getting a bigger thrill from climbing a mountain rather than being driven up one....Lamborghini's should be beasts waiting to be tamed...they are raw animals....aggresive and brutal...and an absolute bastard to drive...thats what makes them so exciting, demanding and challenging....or everything the Murcielago is not

It's not surprising that the Countach and Diablo will be remembered best. They are the epitomy of exotic. But it's not like the other Lamborghini's aren't to be appreciated just because most people don't know any more Lambo's than the two I mentioned plus the new ones and maybe the Miura.
To my knowledge Vicki doesn't own a Diablo. My comment was aimed at your comment implying that cars that CAN be driven by girls automatically are more of a girl's car. I just wanted to point out there are women who can drive Diablos. Don't get me wrong, I think every Lambo is a bloke's car.
You're right about the driving part, although I doubt a Murciélago wouldn't be able to stun me. But driving a Countach or a Diablo is something I want practically all my life. I can imagine that by making it more of an effort, getting it right is more rewarding. Still, I don't think Lamborghini messed up by making the Murciélago less of a handful, certainly from a business, and thus survival, point of view. For people like you (and me too) an SV or roadgoing R-GT should be added to the Murciélago range. I'm sure it will...

To quote the famous words of Tiff Needell, EH-HEM,
"The term supercar has been somewhat abused these days. People think you could stick a big V8 into any ol sports car and earn the title. Well I'm sorry, but you can't! THIS IS A SUPERCAR!"
A car i would take over a fierce Lambo or even Ferrari, the Pagani Zonda C12-S 7.3!!! :D

I meant a girls car as in... now much easier to drive for the less courageous driver that didnt want to attempt a Countach or Diablo...the rest are fair enough points though :P
