The batmobile has always been based on the corvette. Even the first one was built around a 50's corvette. The early 90's bat mobile and others are no exception. In fact in 1996-97 Chevy gave the producers of (forget which movie it was) a pre-production model of the c5 for their bat mobile. :mrgreen:

I have heard many conflicting rumors over the origins of the building of this version, some stating it was built on a limo chassis, others stating a Corvette, and others off a classic Impala.

I have also heard rumors that there is a kit version out there that is possibly built off a corvette frame. I have yet to see this or find any info about it. Kit cars and replicas are not really my thing, but I am looking into it.
