Mika is still young and maybe he'll go back to F1 later  Many F1 drivers have gone to DTM, it's some sort of haven for old drivers :)
I think that this would have been his last shot at F1. Its too bad that he is not in F1 but I am glad he will be racing again. Alesi seems happy there - so it must be fun.

No doubt DTM is far more interesting than Nascar....

Prost went to ice racing :P and is rather good, my brother saw him race last year.
I have never seen him race copetetivly(2000-2002) so it will be cool to seee him race in DTM.

Ah well F1's loss is DTM's gain...I miss the battles he and Shuey used to have back when a team could actually compete with Ferrari....Imagine how many more drivers championships Shuey would have were it not for Hakkinen....Too bad Cablevision doesnt have Speed so I can see the DTM races.... :(

And... how can you compare Nascar with the DTM??? That's exactly what I thought. I don't see much of the similarities. But still DTM is WAAAAY ahead.

Shame that we probably won't see Hakkinen again on a F1, but what worries me more is that we won't see his wife on the paddock.
Anyway DTM is fuc... awesome and I'm sure he will give some trouble for the other racers.

seeing Erja Hakkinen on the paddock rather than Mika racing....lol.....anyway...i think that Erjas beauty was on average comparing with other Formula 1s girlfriend or wives....
Anyway....i decided to write down the post according to the rumours about Hakkinens drive in the DTM......just say that the DTM have been always a good alternative for people who used to drive in the Formula 1, or for drivers who havent been capable of driving in a formula 1 although they deserved it...for instance, the DTM has had the following Ex-Formula 1 drivers at least such as Nicola Larini, Alessandro Nannini, Stefano Modena, Bernd Schneider, Mark Wedlinger, Jean Alesi, Christian Danner, Giancarlo Fisichella, Gabriele Tarquini, Keke Rosberg among others
About Hakinnen....and his possibilities of being in the DTM for the next season in the merc....to be honest i see quite likely this possibility as long as Hakinnen is interested in the project....since he has had some very good links with mercedes till now since mercedes started being a partnership of McLaren...for instance during last year, Hakkinen was the only private driver who got the mitsubishi Lancer WRC in order to drive the Artic Rallye in Finland while mitsubishi was retired in the World Rallying Championship
I have great respect for Häkkinen, he was not only an awsome driver but he always seemed like a nice guy. I would like to see him in F1 again, but any racing series would be btter than none.
I don't get Speed so I wouldn't be able to watch him, but it would still be cool if he was competitve and could even score a few wins. And we can only wait for his son to start racing.
