this is a disguised mustang but seems to be the direction ford is going in. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!! The concept at the motor shows were good but the had to fuck it up by taking few design cues from that car and keep the basic old crap that is a mustang. What do you think?

Well you can’t really judge a car by looking at pictures. Especially if it only one picture with half the car in disguise. The rear end of the car is not its best attribute. I think it looks all right I hope I can see it at the auto show to get a better look.

The retro look is in right now. Just look at all the retro cars making a comback, the new bug, new mustang, etc. I think the retro look will go out in a few years and when you look back you will wonder what you were thinking when you bought a new car based on an old one.

the point that im tryin to make is that it kinda still looks like the average lookin car now, it still looks like the current mustang minus the rear. the concept was way better but they decided to just take the rear from the concept and paste it on this future model. we'll have to see if the look changes between now and production.

WHOOAAA, i take all that shit back, now at supercars.net there is another pick but from the side. this is a better shot at what the car will look like and now that i see this i verifies that they are going to change it and look like the concept. the previous pic i saw on sat was from the back and i thought that for 2005 all they would do is change the lights but infact they are going to remake it instead of what i thought was going to be just a face lift. woops :?

there is still 1 year before this car comes out, there are many different varrients right now. Some with currrent/retro some all retro and some probably weve never even seen.

overall i think this is a good design for the new mustang. you can really tell that they're trying to blend the styling of the 50's mustangs withmore modern styling techniques and...well...styles. i think it's gonna be a good one!

ur only off by 10 years, but thats ok  As long as they harden up the suspension, and keep the planned 400/400 HP/TQ Cobra edition, it will own.

Yeah, hopefully they put a little muscle into the car when the finally release the production model. Retro looks with no other bits of substance haven't done too well in the long run, as you see with American domestics like the PT Cruiser and the Thunderbird, as of late.

Of course, it probably didn't help that the cars were butt ugly, either :) At least the Mustang is vaguely palatable.

I hate the camo they put on the car, just makes it look terrible!
I saw the concept car at a car show, I have to say that I thought it looked quite good.

about the engines for the new 'stangs, the Feb. '03 issue of Automobile Magazine said they would have:

for the base: 3.0-liter DOHC Lincoln LS V6, 215 hp
for the GT: 4.6-liter SOHC V8 (3 valves per cylinder)
for the Mach: same as ^^ but DOHC with 32 valves good to "at least 300hp"

they were planning on reviving the "5.0" badge for the '05 cobra, but they scrapped that idea and are again going for the supercharged V8...those poopie heads
