The great race is on this weekend, should be great (for those who don't know its a V8 Supercar race around our most famous track).
This tear Channel 10 are telecasting for 4hrs on Friday, 5hrs on Saturday and all day Sunday....won't be doing much this weekend by the looks of it. :D
Who is everyone going for, and what are your tips for the race?
I would love to see Brock win his 10th title (hes with Jason Plato), but doubt it will happen. My tip is Murphy/Kelly, they seem so strong around Bathurst.
Jason Plato!?
I remember he came down from the UK and after several laps one year, he ran off into a sandtrap at the bottom of conrod - that guy can drive though.
p.s
I'd love to see Plato & Tiff group up at Bathurst (or Vicki & Tiff)

Would be great to see Brocky win his 10th, he is a national hero.
Jason Plato still drive in the BTTC? He is a very good driver, remember some great battles between him and Alain Menu back in the earlier 2L days. Sadly don't see it here anymore.
I think Glenn Seton deserves it more than anyone, but that does not count for jack at the mountain! Hope they get better engines with the new Aussie builder as opposed to the shite prodrive ones! :(
Hard to go past Murph and the Toddler; speed and consistency with super reliable cars.
Marcus should do well; SBR build rockets most of the time and splitting the two lead drivers is a good move IMO.
Don't rule out John Bowe or Brad Jones; mega experience at the mountain and usually reliable.
Have been impressed with Jason Bright this year, shown some great speed.
Are Team Dynamic at the mountain? Heard they got $100000 fine for the illegal test at Woomera but it is being appealed by both sides.
Big weekend coming up, love every second!
Hope your team wins and there are not too many safety cars!

I want the opposite, either a Liberal win or a Holden win. :D
They just showed an awesome speed comparison on Channel 10, they raced an A9X Torana, current SS Commodore and Skaifes V8 Supercar around the track....with Skaife starting 30secs behind the SS, but he still won by a few seconds.

i have ultimate kudos to whoever can lap that track in thoes times!!!
totaly amazing, no matter there is so many crash's, the track is insane, i cannot imagine wide open throttle on some of thoes down hill roads!
you can never master that track, no matter how many laps you do, even brock had a minor spin!
aparantley they are having some grip troubles...
always an amazing race to watch, i cannot wait, pizza and alchol all round!

you can keep waiting, not in the mood to argue....LOL.
Well Holden have won the race again, that makes 6yrs in succession....Ford are getting desperate.
The highlights of the race for me were the crashes (Cleland's was spectacular) and J.Richards hitting the Kangaroo and sending it flyinh high into the air.....looked real funny, at least the roo died quickly.
It was a shame that Brock didn't even manage to get into the car, but hes won enough times anyway.
Congrats to Murphy (his 4th win at Bathurst) and R.Kelly (2nd win)....they own this place at the moment. :D

The Cleland crash was bad alright; glad that he got out of it unscathed!
Shit he is a good driver, did not know that he did not drive in the BTCC anymore, he had good speed in the race.
He was pissed at Jason Plato as well; can see his point as he should have been right on the edge of the track instead of limping along at least one car width over near the racing line.
Guess those BTCC drivers will always be good for some carnage! :D
He had to kick out the window to get out(not very safe), he said he had fluid in the car and was not hanging around to find out what it was(sports tonight) and bagged JP again.
JC is hell funny too, a real personality and a genuine nice guy! 8)
Poor roo, that was a big impact and Jim Richards did a great job to keep it straight and off the wall/ back to pits.
Had a bad weekend did Jim; had a massive prang at the start of the Porsche cup race on sat through no fault of his own virtually righting off the GT3 supercup(?).
The Winterbottom/Tander(? orcon vs valvoline) crash was hardcore as well; a very big hit at near full noise at the end of mountain straight catapulting the GRM car back onto the track  .
What a great day, V8's F1 Moto GP, Woooooooohoooooooo! :D

Oh and I forgot to mention, the Liberals also won again...not that I really like them, just the better out of the two liars (parties that is).
Still waiting for beaver to get here, he won't be happy....didn't get his preferred outcome in the election OR the race.

hahah i went to this topic after the race finished to post a list of winners, but the formating was bad, a very good race! althoe i am going for ford, congrats on the win, BUT i wish the lead driver was in battle's ect. not just driving around the frount of the pack, but the k-mart car is just way to quick!
ambrose put up a very good fight, his co-driver witter (thinks) done very even gaining a place overtaking someone, exelent for someone with not many miles under his belt, and on bathurst.
lownes finished 2nd out of no-where after 50 pit stops to fill the oil all the time, that kangaroo was one of thoes "only at bathurst" moments!
quite badley damaged the car! bargwana (my fav driver) put on a very good race, finishing 5th, an outstanding result!
i don't like john bowe (3rd) at all, probley one of my most hated drivers!
and what was with skafe!!! this year has been shocking for him!
unlike last year he had an "excuse" team ownership problems ect. but not this year!
a great race as always!
as for the liberals.. well i was shattered, and felt like crying, and had to actualy count the votes that night cast by people...
ovisley australia has decided they want to keep the highest taxing goverment in history, and a goverment that put national securety at risk...
