Houston 10-2-2004 (F360)

Well - I eventually decided to actually pick my camera up and shoot one of the millions of F360's running around Houston... :P

SImply because it was far from stock - sounded way better than an anemic 360 and had the stance of a race car and had to stop for gas... :P

The brief run-down I received was it has a Tubi Challenge exhaust, some air intake work and some cosmetic c/f engine inserts.

Custom springs and suspension components all round - lowered for track use - and it is a 6-speed (as have all his previous 348, 355 and 360's been) because as a Ferrari owner and driver this enthusiast likes to be involved in driving his car, and has been unsatisfied with the paddles in traffic and the inability for the computer to select and keep the best gear for the given situation.

That's all I needed to hear... ;) :P ...again.

BTW I invited the gent to join us on JW - hope he pays us a visit.

And while we are chatting - this Sheriff pulls up - apparently he heard and followed us (my car spitting and burbling and the 360 snarling and barking side by side through traffic seems to pull cops out of the wood work)...

He was making small talk - called our plates in (as if we couldn't see him talking into the mike on his shoulder the whole time) and kept asking me about my in-car camera setup - all the time fishing for what we figured was some proof we had just been out racing.

We ended up leaving at different times so the cop would have no reason to follow any further.. :)

There is even a little gratuitous Ferrari Tubi exhaust (half drowned out by the meaty and beefy Borla XR ;)) for the Tifosi... :P

Yeah - he acknowledged we have matching cars performance wise and gave credit where it is due, as I do... ;)

...and that his car, as it is tuned is just as much of a bitch to drive slowly around town - but is way easier, more enjoyable and less stressful than a paddle-shift car.

We both know our cars are close enough to bring any difference down to the day, track and driver up to around 160 - and that his car will run to 190 while I top out at 175 with stock gearing.. (my 6th is the econo-gear that means we don't pay gas-guzzler tax - his 6th is the next pulling gear :))
