Ok this car isn't very old since the GTO hasn't been around for more than a year or so. Also the Aussies don't get the GTO they get a Holden and in Europe they get a Vauxhall so everyone get's it but the US gets the GTO

what is was saying is this is an aussie tuned gto, LHD and all, yes we do get the monaro, but this particular car has been shown for about 4 months (don't quote me on it) but yeh, its been around "FAT GTO"
thats my point

What I'm saying is the GTO is an American car last time I checked Pontiac didn't sell cars in Australia...

actually, it's just a rebadged Holden Monaro with different engine and a few slight styling changes

it's still an australian car at heart

NO SHIT?

It's actually got the same engine as the Monaro and the GTO is the American car and the Monaro is the Down Unda caar.

actually, the GTO is getting a 6.0L engine after the monaro facelift (which i don't really like)

but if it was up to me, i'd take the GTO anyday

I would have prefered it if the GTO was an all-new American model. I'm not a big fan of new American cars, but I do believe in respecting history and tradition. And making the new GTO out of an Australian car is just wrong. Nothing against Australia or Holden because I love the car. But I don't like the fact that GM pussied out of spending some real cash on one of the most recognizable names in their history.

Look at what Ford did to the Mustang. They made it all-new with retro styling and it looks awesome, thats exactly what Pontiac should have done with the GTO. Unless Pontiac completely restyles it in the next 3 years, the GTO will die just like the Camaro and Firebird.

Cheers,
Kal-EL
