for you guys with the more expensive cars, from vettes to enzos, do you ever get bored of driving them around. how long does it take for them to loose that exiting factor. also, while i already have a post up, has anyone driven the ford GT yet?

That might be because supercars tend to be a little on the expensive side, and a lot of people who own them tend to keep quiet about it. However, there are a few people here who do indeed own nice cars.

ya, i prefer my CGT to my enzo, but the ford gt is just a waste, yes it is cheaper then lets say my 250gto, but the fact that it just looks like a pig and a waste of gas, made me buy the SLR instead
yes it does get boring living my life...

I am never bored of my 320... I am never bored of driving, I don't see why a supercar owner should be...

Driving is always a thrill provided you're not stuck in traffic.

Got myself a G35 and the only time I get tired of driving it is when I think the mileage is going up too fast lol. For a hurricane that just went away (Francis) I drove her 3 hours and it did not feel like 3 hours at all! Im sure someone with a supercar wouldt get bored of his/her car (unless it breaks often).

I don't get bored of the Z.. but if I daily drive it for a couple weeks it begins to feel slow.. :D

I have been in DC for 4 weeks on a contract - and will take the Z out tomorrow for a spin - and it will feel like a new car again - and compared to the Caddie Deville rental we had, will feel like 1000hp for the first half hour...

Driving a 385hp 6-speed is never boring - even in traffic. :P

Cause thats burnout time. It's a suitable replacement for Miller Time.

I guess that what the starter of the topic meant is that F50 for example is always more interesting, passionate and just the car to lust after to those who cannot afford one. I'd die to get a top-range ferrari, but also I know if i really had one, I would probably not dream of it every night in my sleep after a month or few.

I.e. I like F50 or Enzo more than bin Sulayem ...

just a thought.

..or to put it another way - i dont have a car at the moment. I dream of having one. Even if it was 10 years old BMW. Now, after I get it, there is not much point to dream about it.. Same logic goes to growing needs (something about Maslow's hierarchy of needs or something) after you have million, you want another. if you have 100 M you want to have 101 M etc etc etc, its just the law of the nature.. That ensures economic growth, better well-being etc.

Don't get bored of driving my esprit, and yes, it still feels exciting everytime i drive it.

Only time i ever wanted something else was when i was using it as a daily driver in the winter, getting stuck in traffic etc on my 100mile commute to work. I bought a golf gti soon afterwards, keeping the esprit for weekends only. I've now moved closer to work so the esprit is my daily driver again and i'm loving it. Total of 4 years and 60,000 miles in esprits so far.

It has never felt slow when i'm driving in normal traffic or clear roads. Only time I ever felt like it could do with more power is when i'm running with my friend in his 550 Maranello.

If anyone's interested, i was at an esprit meet this weekend. Didn't take any pics myself but here's a few my friends took.

my car is the silver v8-gt in the third pic.. just arriving. We had over 40 esprits for a meet in oxford.

Some pics here also:
