one day an old man is sitting on his front porch watching the towns people going about their business when a little boy goes walking by with a roll of material under his arm.
"hey boy!" the old man called out,"whats that you got under your arm?"
"it's chicken wire sir." the boy replied.
"where ya goin with it?"
"i'm going to go kill some chickens with it."
"stupid boy! you can't kill chickens with chicken wire!"
The boy just shrugged this off and continued on his way.
About an hour later the old man sees the boy walking the other way with an armfull of dead chickens. Shaking his head the man passes it off as coincidence.
the next day the old man is out on his porch again when he sees the boy walking by with something in his hand.
"hey boy!" he calls out," whatcha got there in your hand?"
"why, it's ductape sir. I'm going down to the pond to kill some ducks."
"stupid boy! you can't kill ducks with ductape!"
Again the boy shrugged off the comment and continued on his way.
About in hour later the old man sees the boy walking the other way with an armful of dead ducks. Scratching his head the old man passes it off as luck.
Once again, the next day the old man sees the boy walking by carrying some sort of strange stick.
"hey boy! what's that stick you're carrying?" he called out
"It's pussywillow sir" he replied
"hold on a second," the old man called back,"let me get my hat!"
"hey boy!" the old man called out,"whats that you got under your arm?"
