I'm sure there is no better way of hitting a tree... just in the middle!!! Extra-points for the M3 ex-owner jeje... :D

yea i think the same,
if i having a m3 i dont hit it whit a tree
i prefer hit it in a wall :D :D

from the looks of the hood he didn't hit it head on. it looks like he flew off the embankment after missing the turn. (last pic). it looks like he hit it while landing.

l <--tree /<---M3 impact must have looked something like this... l/

BMW's safety equipment is no joke though either. since i didn't see any blood in the car i can only assume that he had his seatbelt on. The pre-tensioner fired just before the airbag did which kept his chest from being crushed in. He's alive but he'll sure as hell feel that in the morning.

Actually, that might be him standing behind the female cop in the first pic.

i just hope he learned not to try and cut down trees with his car.

Driver has a complex leg fracture. And probably some bruses and cuts, but that heals fast.
He was still able to take these pics himself, or what? :D

The fact that this car has a Belgian plate just gave me a scary thought: BMW M3s get destroyed close to my house. These pics make it feel awfully real. Damn.

some people should know their limitations, because that car does not have many

My guess they are taken by a policeman or fireman.

Ouch, far enough to cave in the steering rack, apparently.....

Crap, it hurts to look at. If the car was a lesser one, I'm pretty sure the results would have been even more catastrophic.....

Does the photographer (Ton Wiggenraad) have a website of his own? Any info as to whether the driver survived?

Thanks for the post, BTW. Morbid as it may sound, I've got a fascination with crashes - it brings me back to reality and reminds me of the damage and destruction a car can cuase on our roads.

Just goes to show how strong tress are...that's not even a large tree and it stopped that ~3500lb car, which was probably going at least 30-40mph, dead in its tracks...

I don't think its an M3!!If you notice carefully the rims and the quad exhaust are not the original ones!!!Although its a shame for the crash of such a beatiful car!!
