:o :D 700+hp

That's a seriously powerful Testarossa...and I love the fact that it has no wings, flashy wheels or any other exterior mods, just different exhaust pipes and understated 18" wheels. I wonder about the practicality of it though...that car was designed for about 385 crank hp, and this one is easily pushing twice that, I would be worried about breaking something in the drivetrain with all that power.

The car is not being sold by Carmack, but it was originally owned by him.

I think this was the car Carmack donated to a Quake tournament a few years back. This may be the same Testarosa that "Thresh" won in that very same tournament.

Road and Track tested it alongside with a F50 Turbo by Norwood too and it wasn't THAT astounding. In fact it didn't have the performances of a 1000 bhp car but more of a 500-550 bhp car

I've driven by Carmacks house before, and you would never have thought that guy had such a car.

According to the description, it got a new tranny already.

Sweet, thanx for the article AlienDB7... 8)

It was kind of hard to read but...is this right, 0-60 in ~5 sec? I would have expected a bit better...I guess it just spins the tires and gets no traction until 50mph or so, because it does have a pretty good 0-150mph, 15.1 sec...

Another thing I noticed in the article...the stock F50 only dynoed at 387rwhp! wtf is that?! :? That's pretty weak for a 513hp car...should be closer to 410-420rwhp.

Not bad...600rwhp at 6psi for the F50...except it didn't seem to help performance that much, at least in their tests.

Wow, that is crazy. I couldnt see geting any traction, but that still sucks on the numbers. Spend $65,000 on the turbos and still gets smoked 0-60 by a $55,000 stock ZO6 Vette.
