My weekend and two nice DVDs

Yesterday I was in town and decided to buy this one :) I saw it at the theater and it's absolutely the best of the three! So funny if you can understand French :D

Today I noticed this second one will be out in amazon.com the 30th of the month.. and since the first one was out in Switzerland (Zone 1) before US, I tried my chance today and tahdah!!! Found it!!!!

i just bought myself the transporter and thats pretty good. funny how i put on subtitles and says hsu chi (shu qi) "speaks japanese". she was actually speaking chinese.

In my version, there are not english subtitles, only french ones... the third one is the best one, but just because it's packed with lot of humor and with subtitles, I'm sure you can't get most of the good things :(

So I don't know if it's really worth, like I was saying to gis yesterday, to buy it if you can't understand the original version...

Why? I laughed so hard during the whole movie.. maybe no great car chases, but cars are not really the most important thing in "Taxi" IMO :)

HEHE, Yeah they look like they are flying but every time the show the speedometer it says 120 or 140mph lol.

I've seen both films and I must say that I find Taxi 1 and 2 better than Taxi 3. There are less cars in 3, but three has definitely more humor. Still you have to see it .

2 fast 2 furious is a lot less than the first. in the 1st movie they show you have the cars get tuned and with what. The only really cool thing in 2 is when the guys shows what american power is. And when they all drive out of the warehouse, a little too short but still very cool.

One of the best car movies made till now:

3000 Miles to Graceland, there is a getaway in it of 1 hour and the movie is about 1h 40 long. Cool chase and great sound. A must see!

First time I saw Taxi 3 was without subtitles. It got to be most boring of the 3. But after finding a copy with eng sub, I actually enjoyed it. Yes, the stunts in taxi 3 are only average but the movie is very funny once you understand what's going on. Even if you can't find the version with eng sub, get the french one and watch the first 10 minutes! The stalone cameo and bond style intro are very good. The only bad thing about the movie, there aren't enough scenes with emma sjoberg and the other french chick.

twboy1999: the flying part is probably product placement for the boeing spoilers(tm).

what are the taxi movies about, I never heard of them :)

Basically an ex-pizza boy, buying and tuning a taxi (Peugeot 406).. then in the first one he begin to know a policeman and he begin to help the Police (in Marseille) when they need to deal with robbers (1) or kidnappers (2) in fast cars...

The car chases are average, but it's a tipical french comedy, with LOT of humor, enough to make your face ache after 2 hours :D
But again, the subtitles are not that good, as always, so you have to understand French to full enjoy it :)

I have not seen either of those movies (Taxi and 2F2F). After seeing the Fast and Furious 1 it was enough for me. I just dont really like hotted civics. And the fact that a 355 was dragged off (only in a movie) by a civic has go to take the reality cake.

There are all these juicers getting round saying my 460hp Vette will do your Ferrari etc.. why doesnt someone say, ok how about in stock form around the ring?? -> Verdict -> Vette spins off in first corner and after hitting a wall on every square surface of the car comes out looking better than it did before the crash.

Anyway, enough from me. Anyone miss my rants? :?
