This car is just sick. Wonder why Mercedes don't put that engine in the ML.

Not a big off-road car fan, but this is sick as always when AMG tunes cars

over 30 years with out major styling change yet it still looks great.....gotta have come credit  But they keep putting larger and larger engine into it, I wonder will the twin turbo 5.5 make its way to the engine bay of the G-Class

I love the old school off-road cars....such as the Mercedes G class, the first series Range Rover, the legendary defender, the 1985 Jeep Cherokee, the wrangler......as long as all of them are the short wheel base versions........and, if the G class is my favourite off road ever alongside the first series range rover.....the G class has the superb 5500cc compressor engine.....and the AMG trims and setting.....just the car is awesome for me.....hovewer, the G55 AMG of the pic has got a little weakpoint that doesnt make the car perfect...that the pics are according to the 5 door versions of it....BTW....thats why i love the brabus and the AMG cars...just because they build insane cars

I think you are a little confused. Mercedes have put the supercharged 5.5 litre V8 in the G-class. I don't think that they will also put in the twin turbo 6 litre V12 in it.

Brabus has already launched a G version with the same engine as the CL65 and of course some settings made by Brabus as well......another fact is if AMG will be launching more and more powerful versions for the G class

Umm.......I know the G55 currently is using 5.5 supercharged V8. If u read carefully, I am just wondering if the 5.5 twin turbo on the current S600, CL600 will make its way to the G-Class that's all.

The following is a cut and paste from Mercedes-Benz website (S600 Specs)
Engine type 5,513-cc intercooled twin-turbocharged SOHC 36-valve 60° V-12.
Drive configuration Rear-wheel drive.
Fuel and ignition system
ME 2.8 engine management. Integrated sequential multipoint fuel injection and phased twin-spark ignition.
Transmission Type
Driver-adaptive electronic 5-speed automatic with Touch Shift.
Bore and stroke 82.0 / 87.0
Compression ratio 9.0:1
Net power 493 hp @ 5,000 rpm
Net torque 590 lb-ft @ 1,800–3,500 rpm
Rear axle ratio 2.65:1
Fuel

Premium unleaded, 91 pump octane.
Tank capacity: 88.0 litres (with 11.0-litre reserve).

they used a 6.3 AMG engine as well in 2002.....

the same engine as in the S63 and the CL63 AMG.....but of course with "less"

power (444Bhp)....at least there was no supercharger....:)

This is a fantastic car IMO, too bad it's a bit old  It should be fantastic in Off-Road....

The Brabus version is awesome, I think, in Portugal it costs almost the same as a Lamborghini Murcielago
