Man, EVO has the coolest pics... Sweet post. Thanks. It takes some guts to drive a Lambo through that landscape. I wonder if they would heve dared this if it had only RWD...

I just got that issue about a week ago :P (I ordered it through evo back issues)
It's a great issue. there's also the Ferrari Enzo roadtest, the Pagani Zonda Roadster, a tourists guide to Modena - the super car center, and many other great stuff.

these are great pics and it is a great test, the murc on ice. The murc has 4wd but you can swithc it of and then you have rear wheel drive, but if you go like crazy and it gets too rough, it will automaticcaly jump back to 4wd. It is hard as hell driven on ice. If you look at the james bond movie with the Vanquish, you'll see that the car has been modified, because a car with rear wheel drive never has so much grip, the cars have been modified with 4wd but still they crashed one vanquish into an iceberg and the iceberg won!!! Jabba will be delighted.

To be honest I have never seen EVO but I will search for it in the store.

Great article

Hey oeggermo, EVO is available in The Netherlands. You have to search for it though. I live in Groningen and there's one bookstore here that sells them. Find a place of similar size or a magazine shop with a good collection and you'll find EVO. Forget about AKO and Bruna, you won't find it there. Although it's no substitute, their website is good and features a lot of articles. http://www.evo.co.uk

The murc has 4wd but you can swithc it of and then you have rear wheel drive

you can't turn the awd off. it's automatically spliting the power between the axels, up to 25% of the power is sent to the front wheels.

One of their best feature of the last months! To bad they don't advertise them before, because I'd like to be there when they storm through Switzerland :D

Very nice scans. thx!!!!

First I was doubting to get me EVO because I don't have visa and I have to get them via a news store, so they charge me extra. I have to pay about 7,5 euro for one issue and a pretty nice belgian auto mag is 3 euro. It's far from EVO's quality so I just have to spend something extra on EVO.

Wow! Here when you can find it in the shops, it's priced around 10 €!!!
That's why the subscription was a good idea for me ;) and I'm sure not to miss one since in the shops is very rare...

Also here in Italy Evo uk costs around 10? (9.40)!!

Zippo, I think you can subscribe also without Visa. Unfortunately I can explain it only in italian, but I can ask TT to translate it...you know... I'm not able to speak about banks and so on very well, it's better let translate it by someone who can speak english better than me! :D

Good news zippo!

You can pay also with a cheque! Chingachgook made me read the subscription form you can find in every evo (I subscribed on their site, so I never really read it...)

And:

http://www.flytrap.it/public/ttsib/evosubs.jpg

As you can see there is also a direct debit payment option and a cheque one :)

I hope this can help :D

That's great news TT, thx a lot for your help guys!!! I'm hoping that you can send me a higher res scan of the subscription form, then I can print it and send it to evo!

This is a bit too low quality to print ...

you can find the form in any evo issue, and if you don't wnat to cut it, you can scan.

Is there anyway to get EVO magazine on the US? Is it better than US's Car and Driver?

Anyone know which is better between...

CAR AND DRIVER
MOTOR TREND
ROAD AND TRACK

?

alondahan
09-23-2003, 11:59 AM
Evo is far beter than the us mags.
if you want to get evo, you can always subscribe.
between the us mags I like R&T most.

DeMoN
09-23-2003, 12:47 PM
Yeah, I just figured this out and I can order EVO and it must be far better since it costs 10 times more for subscription. R and T costs 12$ per year subscription as well as car and driver. Is it worth it paying 120$ for 12 issue? That is a bit more expensive than 10euros in the shop. I think that is too much for me at the moment, considering I already read three times more about cars than I read my homework and college text books =/

I had a subscription to it for a little while. It's definately worth it, it's a great magazine. It is expensive, but it's cheaper than buying the mag once a month.

i have never seen that issue before, i guess i must have missed it. but that guy is crazy driving a lambo in the winter, power sliding around a corner. although i can only imagine how much fun it would be!!!??
And what would happen if that guy wrecked the car?? he is only there to record a magazine article, so what would lambo do if he beat it up at all?

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure evo's insurance is pretty good, and the same goes for Lamborghini.. I suppose the cars they give to magazines have some special insurance too :D

It's nice how JW is promoting evo! How many new subsciptions are we selling for them? LOL!

that's true!
Evo should pay JW!
It's incredible how many peolple read it, it's a mgazine born, how many years ago? Five I believe, and it's so famous and appreciated.
I'm happy because the dream of Evo boys is now a reality.
I'm sad because the dream of Evo Italia boys isn't a reality because of Mondadori!!!!

I believe EVO started after Performance Car was terminated by its publisher. A lot of the guys from EVO worked there. Performance Car was great too. Does anyone know if this recollection is true?

We should talk to EVO and get a discount for JW members if we bring them a certain amount of new subscribers. How's that? :)
