Got a new camera and tripod (56 K warning)

Unfortunately I have come with a pretty bad flu and I can't get out and shoot. But I did manage to buy a new digital camera and a tripod. I was testing it today. Hopefully I'll get better soon and be able to go out and take a few night shots (light streaks and such). The camera is a Canon Powershot A60 (2 MP 3X optical zoom 15-1/3000 sec shutter speed). I didn't go for more MP because I really don't need more than this.

There's one with my TKD sparring trophy. :mrgreen: I love this camera! It has a fully manual mode and the aperture priority/ shutter priority modes. It also has all the point-and-shoot modes. Lovely!

Yep. The exposure time for that was about a second. Unless you're dead there is no way real way to hold the camera perfectly still for that long. I also used a two second delayer so it would take the pic two seconds after me pressing the button (to prevent me from causing shaking in the tripod). The exposure time had to be so long because there wasn't really that much light, and using the flash would have ruined the picture.

Here's one of a little "doll" that I brought from Cuba. This was taken using macro mode, as the "doll" is about two inches tall.
