In DC++ I can't become an active user..
I understand it has something to do with my provider that has closed many ports, because I haven't got a firewall..
What do I have to do?? Is there another way than calling my provider?

if you have Windows xp there a chance you need to disable the windows firewall..

I have a IP that doesn't change, don't know whether it's dynamic or static..
I use a regular 10mps hub to share the internet connection..

you probably have to set DC++ to be in passive mode just go into the settings its in the general section

Yeah, I know it works with passive mode, but I'm looking for a way to be active..
But I guess it has to do with some restrictions from my provider.. :(

It is completely irrelevant whether you have a dynamic or static IP in this case. What you need to know, is whether you have a so called "external" IP address (this means that while you're online no other PC has a same IP) and also whether you're not protected by firewall, wich could be bloking inbound connections.

I use a regular 10mps hub to share the internet connection..

Assuming that your ISP does provide you an external IP, this will be another difficulty. You will need to have 1 port mapped directly on your PC (both TPC & UDP) on this hub of yours.
