Well....my parts are coming tommorow but I thought Id get a head start and start dismanteling the car. OH MY GOD!!! I didn't think it was going to be this hard. Everything seems to be seized up. Im getting really angry. If anyone has done downpipes, could u give me any helpful hints. It took me about 4 hrs to get a couple bolts off. But....Ill just keep chugging through it. I have no idea how im going to get the bolts off of thet turbos. I just need to get motivated again. Im tkaing pics so Ill post them when I get it all done.

penetrating lube and Brake Cleaner gets almost anything out just spray that shit and go for it. if not that a nice torch and a cup of cold water always works.

I'll have to third T-bird's comments. There's not much in particular you can do besides just what he said. Penetrating oil over several days on the hardware, with a few judicious taps with a hammer fixed most of the sticking when I had to haul the downpipe off of my car. Patient persistence does help!

lol hey Im back, No didn't get a breaker bar. I didn't get the job down in time cuz i had to go to college. So I did get the intercoolers, the bipipe and the engine mount on. My cousin has a car shop that we are going to do it winter break. I kinda used a breaker bar. I took a steel pole and a regular wrench and just put those together. when i did it it started to strip the bolts. So ill just wait to do it at a professional place. I took a couple of pics nothing special but if you wanna see them jsut tell me.

When you did this, you let the car cool down right. Cause you'll break those studs from the turbo if you don't. And when i changed my downpipe, the O2 sensors weren't coming out so i got a torch at 2 o'clock in the morning and heated it up a little and sure enough those came out fine. Go to VWVortex.com, go their and you'll get all your answers.
