It seems like there is a lot of interest in Ferraris upcoming road car that many threads regarding the F430 started to appear on JW. It is quite confusing when you have 1000 threads about one car, and some threads feature one or two new pictures so I decided that from now on all of the info regarding the F430 should be posted in one thread since there are no sub-topic sections yet. it looks like its gonna sound awesome as well going by the 430 unveiling vid. It sounds like it has a much more rumbly idle than the 360 and although it didnt go up the revs much i think this one is gonna be much more of a screamer than the 360 when it opens up too. Cant wait for some on road/track vids

The F430's definately grown on me in general, but I'm sooo anxious to see how, if at all, Ferrari's changed it's driving "philosophy". It seems like they made a move to an Enzo or Stradale type style, and even the exhaust sound from that clip agrees with that. It sounds nothing like a 355 or stock 360 and much more like a CS or Enzo.

Damn I love this car!!!!!!!!

IMO, the best combo for this car is Red/Tan, daytona styled seats, CC brakes w/ red callipers, the new rims (not the CS ones), Scuderia shields.... and I can't believe it... F1 transmission. I think this car is too modern for it to be a normal manual. For instance, the 575 is PERFECT in a manual, but I'm not so sure about the 430... :|

Looks like ferrari are really getting back to their best with this shape, but then anything would have been a slight disappointment IMO after the 355 thats what happens when you set such high standards :D I have to say i was really won over by the feature in this months top gear mag, and then i come here and find even more info :D :D Great job guys!!, i think i'd better start saving :lol:

I love it. Love how the F1/CS/Enzo influences are all coming in to the car. It does look like an evolved, face-lifted 360, but with more power. I would really like a driving style switch on my steering wheel too, flick it to race, or electronic systems off more often than not i would guess!
It is more a Gallardo beater than the standard 360 now. However if the Gallardo had proper Lambo doors....!

i like everything but the back of the car. IMO they should have just evolved the regular challenge grill of the 360 not ripped the rear of an enzo off and slapped it on the 430. everything slows up until the ass.

IM genuinely suprised at the lack of support to the 360. I was always under the impression, besides it being my point of view, that the 360 was more impressive then the 355. From what Ive read so far, its the oppositte, and the biggest contributing factor isnt even material, its nearly entirely subjective. For me, the 360 will always be a better car, taking into consideration performance, looks and even practicality.

when it comes to coupes, 355 is just as beautiful as 360, but when it comes too spyder, omg a 360 it looks sooooooo exotic i think its the long low flat rear, it gives the car this shape which is just somethin like ive never seen before fuckin gorgeous, and with the top up, red with black interior and black top up looks jus soo sleek jus ready to sneak up on someone and kill them

Thanks a million for the pics.....i dont like the silver colour too much actually, IMO the best suited colours will be the red one, the yellow one, and the black one, as for the 360 modena.....about the lap time in Fiorano...im not confident if the 430 will be much faster than the 360CS , once the 360CS has set the suspensions, brakes, differential as a racing car, and these settings improve a lot the car effectiveness as long as they are driven neatly

I was sceptic when i saw the first pics, and it didn't get better. I really liked the 360, but here they didn't do a new car, they just did a lifting, and not the best way. The 360 was "fluid" (i hope you get what i mean), and this one is getting sharper, and it doesn't fit the idea i get from a ferrari.

Anyway, it couldn't look better than a gallardo :!:

I didn't gave my opinion yet about the car. Well here it is. I like it very much. It looks more aggressive than a 360 Modena, and that's good, a Ferrari has to have an aggressive styling, although it still has to be pure. But I think Ferrari succeeded this mission with the F430. It looks better than a 360 Modena IMO. I never really liked the 360's styling that much as I normally like a Ferrari. It was too soft for me. I always preferred the f355's styling above the 360. Only the interior of the 360 looked far better than the f355's interior, but that’s quite obvious ;). However Ferrari got it spot on with the F430: a good looking aggressive exterior and a sporty and great looking interior. Good job!

I'll have to see it with my own eyes though, before I make my final conclusion and maybe place it above the f355, my Ferrari favourite of the last 15 years.

TT i think the 360 is a better car than the 355, in terms of both styling looks and performance. But i know what your saying about the 355, because it was the first of the modern era ferraris and it has something about it that you cant get tired of.

the more i see vids of the 430, the more im unimpressed with the sound, its too low, not screaming at all, im very dissapointed with it in respect to sound, the 355 and 360 are much better.

Although the drive of the 430 seems to be amazing

I think we'll have to wait until we hear it in real life, before we can make a final verdict. But I do agree a bit with mindgam3. On the vids it seems the F430 doesn't scream like a 360 or f355 do. The F430 seems not to have such a sharp sound.

You can still get a good idea, plus combined with the following vid and the original ferrari release one, IMO it doesen't sound as nice as a 360 and definately not as nice as a 355 although it still beats just about any other car in sound.

first off i know about that video im the one who posted it, second, when i heard it being floored in the Mexico video it sounded insane and third in that really short video clip posted eariler it sounds much better then a 360 and 355 at idle and lower revs, it sounds alot meaner, as for in the upper rpm ranges he doesnt bring it up there so ill have to judge from the mexico video which it sounded nuts in. From what ive heard in the upper rpm ranges the F430 doesnt have the howling of the 355 or the mettalic shreiking of the 360 but to me personally it sounded like a mix in between. Thats why i said it sounds like a 355 and 360 put together. Ive heard 355's and 360's at idle in person and none of them sounded like that 430 in the video idling. I actually thought that 430 idling had put another exhaust system on becuase Ferraris are never that aggresive sounding at idle when they are stock. Even a challenege stradale at stock isnt much different then a regular 360.

I've heard a 355 and 360 at full revs live, from inside the 360 as well, and from the videos i can say the 430 doesen't have the same gogrgeous spine tingling scream tht the 360 and 355 have.

The 430 has a lower overall tone probably due to the bigger capacity which doesen't make it as appealing imo.

And as i said, the magazines who have actually driven the 430 seem to agree with me.... :P
