I think that's the car that Ferrari of Dallas or Ferrari of Houston had for sale awhile back. It's been on Autotrader via their dealership a couple of times and on Ebaymotors I think once. Really nice car and if I remember correctly it had extremely low miles on it.

Nice colour indeed !!! :D
There are some Yellow F40 but i think that it was painted "aftersale" as officially it was only available in red. Even more for the 288 GTO, i don't remember seing one in another colour than red.

you sure about that? i've only seen a dark blue (blu Pozzi/cuoio) and TDF blue on Enzos. the Enzo Register (http://www.enzoregister.barchetta.cc/events-stories/stories/enzo-ferrari/enzo-ferrari-by-serial-number/default.htm) only shows those as well.
i have to agree with most of you though that the F50 doesn't look the greatest in this color. I'll take mine in yellow please :)

Im not talking about the one at monaco with the dark grey color, its a very light silver. If anyone knows where the pictures are that would be great. Im pretty sure there wasn't an enzo that has a color similar to that of the f50.
i think it looks terrible... doesn't make it look like a super car

Were the F50's only avaliable in red like the F40's? If so, someone just de-valued an expensive car! LOL
I think it's pretty cool, but if it were my F50, it would be red.

nah, i think the F50s were at least offered in Red, yellow, and black (like the Enzo was supposed to be in early reports)
*edit* just found this on F50.com
The F50 is available in five colors: Red, Red Barchetta, Yellow, Black and Grey Nurburgring.

I like "strange" colours on superars... but this blue is not the best one for the F50 IMO. BTW, do you know if there are other colours apart from the red in the F40 and the 288GTO??? I know it's a bit off topic but...
I know of a black F40 and a yellow F40, and I'm sure there are more which aren't red, considering there are well over 1300 F40s...

288GTOs are very rare, and I've never heard of one painted anything other than red...but there could be one.

And the Sultan of Brunei has at least one black, red and Grey N/Ring... and maybe a yellow one in his "Yellow Room"

OMG this colour fits the car almost perfectly, but not as good as red of course  And yes, to my knowledge there is only a dark blue Enzo.

But the question is... is this the original colour? I mean... were all the F40 reds at first, and then its owners painted them in other colours??? There are a lot of non-red Enzos and F50, and Ferrari only produced 399 of each one (399, 349, don't remember now). But if there are, as you say, 1300 F40... why are almost all of them red?
All were painted red as the original color, because well, Enzo Ferrari wanted it that way...
To my knowledge, every single F40 produced came out of the factory painted red, and same goes with the 288GTO. Enzo Ferrari was not really into pleasing the customer, so he didn't really care if people wanted the car in another color, and even though he was no longer in charge of the company (and dead before most were built) that mentality carried on within the company.

i love the colour, perfect for a 360, but not an F50 i prefer more traditional colours for such an extreme car.

nice color but i find this color's not match with the F50's eyes.....
