mostly taken last night... it was quite clear out, and i went for a nice midnight drive away from the city lights.
first one is a car passing by a pond, while the second is more devoted to the sky, and the third you can even see the milky way a bit (upper left)

Nice pics nthfinity, I like your C6 pic...much better than the pic I got of one:
http://img76.exs.cx/img76/8961/C11.jpg
I saw it from pretty faraway...and I was just kind of staring at the HIDs and wondering what car it was, and I just kept staring and he drove right past me and I was thinking that was a really nice looking car...then I saw the 'vette flags on it and I was like OH SHIT! a C6...oh fuck, turn on the camera! Too bad about the pic quality, but if you squint and hop on one foot you can see that its a C6. :P
The first pic you took of the headlights, reflected in the water, is really really cool! 8)

Nice pics dude, specially the first one... In the second, is this the "boreal aurora" (I don't know if this is the right name in English )?
thanks, danni. :)
the second one almost looks like the aurora (english is similar... 'aurora borealis' which may be latin? lol. its actually the cloud cover in the first picture, but taken a bit earlier. for orientation, i thought id say im pretty sure the second pic is looking at the constellation 'draco' and the North star is the bright one above the far right tree.
sentra dude, i have lots of C6 shots already... i swear they are becoming as common as C5's already here 8) thats a good thing, of course

wow those are aswome, how do you get the cars lights all stretched out like that. Do you use a very slow shutter speed?

Yep...we made sure to get a digital camera with manual operations in addition to the usual automatic shooting. Those are 16 sec exposure (I don't know what nthfinity used, but I'm sure it was something pretty close), and the aperture is also small, to let less light in so you can use the very long exposure. A tripod is essential, and it usually takes maybe 3-4 cars going by to make it nice and bright, or one car going slowly. If you move the camera even a little bit it fucks up the picture, which is what happened to about half the pictures I took that night because there were high winds (right on a lake).

very nice scenary, brembo
bugaboy, i forgot i had my camera set for 30 seconds of exposure for the star shots i was doing, and had the iris exposed to the max... i should've changed the exposure value for the streaming lights shot, but that was the only car i heard for about 3 hours, and didnt take the time to adjust the modes. a tripod is definately nessesary. ghosting images is cool too... ill shoot an example of that later tonight, and post it :)
id defniately dig some night shots of the F50 :-D
