Extreme lotus esprit.
Very fast esprit.
350HP V8 Lotus esprit may seem like plenty enough for most people, but I like to put the esprit to the test and see how much one can get out of the car. The esprit is really not very difficult to work on and modifying it is fairly easy as well. It is not a car where bolt on kits are available, so real engineering and fabrication efforts are required. The esprit isn't very different than any other car to work on. Many times spare parts can be found from alternative sources. Like the tail lights are can be sourced from Toyota and so fourth. My car is designed for high speed racing with a long list of modifications that I am sharing on this web site. I hope you find it useful and entertaining.

I am not sure how much horsepower my 1997 Lotus esprit have, but it should be in the range of 550+ HP without propane or NOS injection. The car has been driven competitively in the Silverstate, Boneville and many other events. It has also done very well in several national car shows like NOPI and others.

Superbee is a 550HP + monster designed for open road racing. It has undergone significant mods. to reach what it is today. It is designed to sustain speeds beyond 200MPH and acceerate 0-60 in less than 4 sec.
And some specs.

Some of the specs include:

Reflowed Turbos

Larger Injectors

Very nice pics.......although the car will be perfect if it werent for the back wing which i see unnecessary IMO....there is another impressive car also,.. the car hasnt been mentioned yet....the black lotus omega (lotus carlton) alongside the lotus in one of the pics.....in conclusion...despite the back wing teh pics are perfect(BTW the four chicks are almost as perfect as the lotus)

That's Johan Hybinette's car. I met him last time he was in the uk.. seems pretty sane when you meet him but his car is mental.

Its dyno'd at 712 bhp with the propane & nos.

Here's a pic of the engine bay, awesome:

That car has run 10 second quarter, plus over 200mph at bonneville.. :D

This car is great!...the factory spec uses a V-6 with a twin turbo, so it could have plenty of tunning options for this car...and also plenty of HP's can pumped from its engine...but please, remove that spots...it makes the car looks like a dalmatian dog :?

i agree it looked like a cow but i never thought of it looking as a dalmation

Yes, as T-bird said, its a v8 not v6. 350 crank hp as stock from 3.5 litres with two lazy turbos. Chip change (race ecu) would give 440-450. Factory race cars had 550 or therabouts (for GT1) .

Johan's car is modified much beyond this with twin intercoolers, reflowed turbos plus the nos and propane etc.

This could make whan hell of a gumball rally or one lap of america car.
How light is and has it a stripped interior.
It's one cool streetsleeper !!
Can you do the same with a noble m12 or something like that??
Fit the engine in a lotus elise of exige and you have a rocket with a very high power to weight ratio and lighten and strip the car to about 750 kg witout driver and fuel with driver and fuel about 850 kg !!

The car is not significantly lighter than stock - for hi-speed runs the light weight is not really that critical. An esprit is a light car anyway..

Doubt you could fit the engine in an elise/exige, well - put it this way, if you did, the engine would end up being in the passenger seat to get the drive shafts to line up with the rear wheels ;) The elise is a much smaller car.
